Then Should Sony be thankful that MS had the RROD thing happen too??. as im sure that must of set MS back enough to take out the head start and gave Sony a nice boost too. After all i Remember when the whole RROD thing started happening people that wanted 360's No longer wanted them cos of it being everywhere about them breaking down, so id imagine that people that wanted a nextgen HD system would of got a PS3 instead. Hell even today people still stick the RROD to the 360. I remember over hearing a convo in my local gamestop a few months back where this womans said to the girl that was working there "I heard them 360's break after a year and my son wants to get one, is the anything like it that doesnt break so easy?" and the girl replied "That was only with the old large Xbox 360's, the smaller 360s doesn't have the rrod problems that the older model did" . Anyway we can all use guess work of "If the 360 didnt get RROD" "If the 360 didnt have the year head start" "If Sony didn't launch with a price of $599" "If Sony had better games in its launch window" etc but its not going to make no difference. as all them things did happen and here we are. I guess both companys have things to be thankful for so there you have it. |
If you look at Sonys sales year for year you would see where I am getting at. They always outsell Microsoft year for year. If they had launched in the same year as Microsoft they probably would be ahead 8-10 million consoles right now.
