So much for being the first real FPS on a handheld...

Gregs IGN review he says that it actually works great as an FPS but the game itself just isnt good

Gamesradar review: 4/10
http://www.gamesradar.com/resistance-burning-skies-review/?page=2

I'll post the good and bad points. By the way, the screenshots don't look anything like the ones on Jim's review.

You'll love
Decent weapon variety, but not up to Resistance standards
Multiplayer is somewhat entertaining, but offers nothing special
Survival mode is fun

You'll hate
Uneventful story mode
Sound effects are sub-par and unpolished
Clunky controls

The resistance series is embarrasenly generic, I have a hard type believing people get excited about it, only game worthwhile was R3 because that one tried to be different from the rest, I also have a hard time believing Sony of America keeps making them , they bloody love generic games for some reason.

They should keep him away from handheld games especially if he thinks Resistance is visually atrocious. Has he given a single Vita and 3DS game a good score?

He gave Super Mario 3D Land an 8.5 and Ocarina of Time 3D a 9.5 and Resident Evil Revelations an 8.0 and Tales From Space a 7.5 and Super Stardust Delta a 7.5 and that's all I care to check right now as far as 3DS and Vita games go.

He doesn't really treat handheld games much differently than console games.

No problem

I mean, I get it's Sterling, but he's normally controversial with 4 or 8/10. He rarely gives 2, last game was Spirit Camera.

I mean, did anyone really expect this to be good? It'll get a good score from OPM and a few sites for just BEING a Vita game, but Metacritic will end up at 65ish I think.

System Seller? No. It'll sell 400k LT, if that. Nothing Sony has is, but that's a different topic entirely.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Not saying the game isn't a 5.5 but; how can Greg write a 4 page review of Uncharted 3, writing nothing about the game itself except for the cutscenes, give it a 10 and then write a half a page review on another game saying the game is boring cause he most likely played it on easy?  Atleast mention if the difficulty plays no role in the game.

You're crazy!

I'm not a fan of the Resistance series, but I really doubt this game is that bad.

If this same game were on tablets it would likely get much better reviews.
