It does play youtube videos. It doesn't work for spurges videos cos he uses some fucked up code, lol. Your videos (and everyone elses) work fine though, I just said it didnt work earlier because I was busy and couldn't be assed watching a video. :)

You mean $200. The iPad is $200 more than a Fire. Twice the price for twice the tablet.

Also, the Playbook was never priced at $800... unless you're pricing in the cost of a Blackberry so you can get email. :P

Edit: Holy crap, guys. The original iPhone in 2007 played Youtube videos and even Adobe has given up on Flash now. Get with the times.

I've got a rooted Nook Color and love it. I was surprised how good of a tablet it was for only $250.

Which one did you get and are you techie enough to root and rom that bastard?

If so, you could probably slap Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on it and have a device that is comparable to anything on the market, speaking strictly from an OS point of view. You'll still have lower quality screen/touch/other hardware based features. But, software wise, you'll have everything you could possibly want.

I have an IPad its a good thing but it doesnt feature the flash player and this is annoying. Nut its totally not worth the money my father paid for it.

Glad you are happy with your decision.

I still don't see the need for a tablet as my Galaxy S2 does everything a tablet does and then some. But if Asus does release an android tablet with google, I would consider getting it if the price is right.

Try an android tablet, you will like it even better, having used both ( both Ipad 2 and Sony Tablet S)

let me get to why Android tablets are better.

Ipad doesn't support flash thats a big no no to web browsing, for example , visiting VGchartz, you can't see the "VGChartz Buddy" box on the left there, because it doesn't support flash , also most sites, embed videos of youtube videos and other sites , some of them do work if they're youtube videos, but not all it shows you the "Q =/= " logo , ALA Quick Time event doesn't support this video, when clicking on them, they go into the youtube app instead of playing in place which defeat multitasking (see below)

another thing about IOS is that it is very limited , and not costumizable, Android on the other hand, feels like a PC OS , you can do physically everything with it, and change everything with it, its built this way, while the IOS is built to only handle Apple Apps for its OS.

Android Tablets are synced to your PC and Android phone, so if you do something on your PC , and want to continue it on your Tablet/ Phone , you just shut it down and simply continue with your Tablet/Phone, it autosyncs everything.

also the prices, just like the Mac vs PC , the prices of the Apple devices are outragous, of course everyone buys them for the brand, but the fact that the other lesser expensive devices offer more is outragous, with the price of an Ipad you can buy three of the best Android tablets, or you can even buy a gaming PC rig, with mid - high specs and you can run most games released today on max, i find it really puzzling that most people complain on how expensive a gaming PC is , while at the same time owning a Macbook air , an Iphone and an Ipad. What???

and finally multitasking, on the Android tablet / phones, multitasking is one of the best features , you can open multiple apps/ programs while using others, just like a PC, its kinda a shame for Ipad since it has a good enough processor, which I never understand why Apple refuses to have a device with multitasking, it works great with their Macbooks.
