Can I ask, what makes it so stressful when compared to being a normal mod? What extra duties would the said mod hold?

huh, didn't know he wrote that, guess I just assumed he woulda mentioned it.  Oh well, unfortunate but he's been having a rough time with some stuff lately so it's not wholely surprising.  My bet is he'll be back after a bit.

If we're allowed to put forward names from forum-goers for mod jobs, now that you're gonna be a mod down... I'd like to nominate Rol.

Rol would be a fantastic mod, because nobody knows trolling quite like Rol knows trolling.
