@bold. I think in Iraq the vested interest was mostly oil, and possible instability in the middle east. The Zionist party is strong in the US, as well as a need for natural resources.
That's my thought. I may be wrong though. Mind you, the vested interest is a certainty. I'm just not sure as to the what.

But you don't know what is cause and what is effect.
Let's say the US does intervene. This Kona is done away with. Which country will benefit the most? From what I remember from the movie, the LSA region moved from Uganda to other places. It is a regional threat against a criminal, not a national threat. That's one place of misplaced logic. Second is, if this helps those countries prosper (which it should with better order and structure), then the effect would be yes, that these countries would want more military structure as well. They can buy weapons from the states, but they can very well buy them from Europe or Russia. If they end up buying them from the states, is it part of the plan or just cause and effect?
I would be to argue it is a debatable point indeed.

Uganda doesn't have a law, an army, so if these guys are wiped out, then new organizations are going to show up and more people are going to be hurt, kidnapped and brainwashed, this happened in afghanistan and iraq, and also happened in libya and egypt (even though america has nothing to do with it) America will be to blame, terrorists will blow stuff up left and right , and it might be another september 11, because these groups can act they way they want, they don't give a damn about a bunch of kids who are going to die, they only want to live their life of richness and wealth, even if it means stepping on countless dead bodies.
America should not meddle with what they don't know, they should focus on their own problems first, and right now they have a lot of problems, i thought americans are happy that their troops got back home, so why would they want to send them into hell again? , instead of investing too much on warfare , deal with your econemy.
sorry if i seem to be talking to you as you were responsible or something, i just wanted to get my point across, so you would understand it better, of course its not your fault or anything and you're not american to begin with
