As much as it isn't commercially available and not for use on the PC don't forget that the original xbox has a fairly decent emulator working right now on hardware which is fairly underpowered by todays PC standards. Talking about how the 360 plays original Xbox games ofc, Those are all emulated.

they are! what can be seen that not 100% of the old xbox-games can be played - only a few and these have also some issues. and this is why i highly doubt wiiu emulates wii.

The difference with this is that Microsoft doesn't have to reverse engineer anything to find out how the architecture works. With dolphin, and PCSX2 everything is reverse engineered which means that it's going to have unoptimized code and worse performance.

it's about 50% of the library of the original xbox which uses very different hardware from the 360.

you are right - it is 460 games that are emulated. and yes, emulation means often very different hardware because else it wouldn't be emulation.

sure! also keep in mind that ms uses emulation-profiles instead of one general-purpose-emulator you can throw binaries at. so even they are doing some tricks ;)

The Wii U CPU and Wii CPU are based on the same tech. Like every new generation intel pc cpus are based on the same tech. But the Wii U CPU is much more powerful, before you can emulate this on a pc with proper speed we will have christmas 2024.

That some people even think a proper Wii U or even a XBox360 emulation would be possible in a near future is hilarious. Even modern games like Assassins Creed 3 don't run exceptionally better on PC than on XBox360. And people really think a emulation would be possible? The Wii U even has much more power than the XBox360.

Since WiiU is barely superior to PS360, mid-range PCs are way better already (similar to the Wii launch). NSMBU will be the first fully playable game with 60FPS and could already be achieved now since it's barely more advanced technologically than NSMBWii.

Of course the devs would need time to make a somewhat stable emulator first with proper plug-in support and so on, so it could take 2 years for them to do it.

Haha
you guys are trying to make me believe people actually use dolphin with original games?
Aprils fool in december?

Why not? The games look better on the emulator. If i would not own a wii, dolphin would be a better choice. You can even use a 360 controller!?

Just a friendly reminder: this discussion is fine, but please don't post any links to the emulator or any ROMs that it can play, and do not request these links, as that violates the forum rules. Discussion of piracy (if you can call it that) is okay, but not direct links to it.

Emulator is no piracy, links to ISOs would be. As described by the thread-starter (dumping your own original discs to ISOs) is not even bordering on piracy.

You are right, I did get one thing wrong, you can't download the ROM / ISO, you have to play it directly or dump it yourself.

You can't even do that in some countries, since it constitutes copyright infringement - making copies of intellectual property without permission.

Evry browsers copies information, that is needed to display it. So internet is probably illegal in these countries.

You aren't convincing anyone if you fail to make any argument.
