Alright so some of you know I was volunteering at a Summer Camp the whole month of July. I was out an hour and a half from the nearest town. In the middle of the bush with no cell service or internet access, infact we used a radio phone in case of emergencies. I go for the month and Nintendo 3DS wasn't selling to hot but people had high hopes.

I get back and find out Nintendo's stocks took a dive, Nintendo is cutting 3DS price by 80$ and Nintendo is giving early adopters access to 20 games for free. What else did I miss? Seriously I log in today and am at a loss for words I'm like a deer caught in the headlights, my jaw won't lift off the ground and I'm holding back tears.

I can't help but freak out at these news stories. In one month of me being absent my favorite company in the whole world has gone down the crapper.

Is it even worse, what all has happened in July for Nintendo? I read somewhere a ton of games for 3DS got cancelled, what all happened while I was gone? Sorry I don't want to go through a dozen or so pages and read countless threads. I'd rather find out quick and easy from my fellow gamers here on VGChartz.

Nintendo will drop the 3D from the 3DS and rename the machine "DS Advance" instead. And because of the 1.28$ saved for using a normal screen instead they'll drop the price another 50$ and plan to sell 200 million units, because then magically everybody is interested in the new hardware.

Haha very funny Manuel. Seriously its alot to take in. I come back and its like the whole gaming world has changed. Nintendo has taken a royal ass kicking. Infact even reading Rol's posts about the WiiU and such its like the whole world has gone mad. Nintendo is king, they should be at least and to see them struggling like this and reading the horrible news, it caught me completely off gaurd I never suspected this much damage could occur within one month!

I wanna make sure I am all caught up ASAP. I feel so out of the loop lol!

I don't think the bad reaction to the Wii U is new, I know I felt bad about it already when the (later confirmed) rumors started taking shape. So did others around here like Rol... A console which only supports one of its main controllers really is something "special".

We started a rip-off from Realtalk with Snake612 called Gamrtalk with Darth and his sidekick on the site... and the hate for CoD MW3 and love for Battlefield 3 has risen... not much else happend in july..

It's been going on for longer than a month. It was a launch lineup that made the PS3's look strong,  Fukushima a couple of weeks after its release and then Vita becoming the darling of E3 that has sent 3DS down a path that it still might not recover from.

 Also, it just didn't really have the wow factor that I think a lot of people were expecting it to have.  It's true that I have stigmatisms, so I might not be judging it entirely correctly, but for me in a lot of ways the 3D resembles a modern take on those old belt buckles of the 70s and 80s that kind of gave you a 3d impression where if you looked at them one way and then you looked at them another you got different pictures.  I do think it has good graphics overall (until Vita comes out) but I really wasn't any more impressed by the 3d effect than I was with the 3D effect of those old belt buckles.

 Plus, I think all the health warnings that came out made some people leery of it.  And parents probably don't want to spend $250 on what they view as a toy (especially not during the Christmas season).

 I am hoping that the upcoming RE game for it is the best one since 4 and Code Veronica, however, I would also like to hear that it's coming to Vita as well prior to its release.

it's just terrible! Nintendo lost some money! must be the most terrible thing that has happened while you were gone.

Apparently, while you were in jail, you missed the 3Ds friend request I sent to your wall. Everyday, I look at the blank spot where you're supposed to be and I cry.
