Forums - Gaming - E3: Nintendo WINS!

To be fair there's no proof that it won't have any of those, it's just that's what we were expecting to have confirmed right out of the gate. I'll again draw the comparison of this E3 to Nintendo for E3 2009 for Microsoft. E3 09 was proof of concept for Natal/Kinect, E3 2010 was where they really showed the product as it would be and the real support it would get, and likely that's what we're setting up for next E3 from Nintendo, or perhaps even sooner if Nintendo's having any intermediate events (it's a damn shame that they never show up to TGS and always just phone it in to Gamescom, otherwise we could set a more definitely timeline for when we're gonna find out more about this)

I really don't think Kinect is a great example of strong, high-quality first and third party support for a hardware device.

I thought Nintendo won as well. With the new hardware being the focus, they still showed games for Wii, DS, and the 3DS as well. With announcements like Ninja Gaiden, the next Tekken, Battlefield, and Super Smash Bros. going cross platform, there was very little reason to not get excited about their future in gaming. Add to that the slew of additions made to Kid Icarus: Uprising (which seemed to be my favorite game of the show), and the way they are handling Legend of Zelda's 25th birthday and there was something for the fare weather fan as well as the fanboy in all of us.

The WiiU, while only in video format showed off a wealth of potential that exceeded my expectations. The third party games seem to be stacking up nicely early on, and with the Nintendo execution on first and second party titles, I see no way Nintendo was looking up at anyone this time around.

I was very skeptical of the new controller before they showed it off, but in typical Nintendo fashion, they won me over with their ability to show me new experiences that are not rivaled by any other company. It was Nintendo's E3 to lose and I was sure they were going to lose it, but in reality, they delivered and then some.

I've seen both Nintendo and Sony conferences and I think Sony won. Purely because of Vita and a great games coming for it (new Uncharted, Dragon's Crown and "Project gravity). While Nintendo shown WiiU controler without the actual console and a short video made from shots of multiplatform games from ps3/360. IMO The only interesting things on Nintendo conference were Zelda Skyward Sword and Kid Icarus.

If you want new ips, go the ps3. People have not supportewd the new ips well enough and M$ is always with their Halo.

2 new gaming platforms were introduced.
The Vita and the Wii U.
Sony showed working playable demos for the Vita.
Nintendo showed footage of 360/PS3 games .

Not hard to decide who won....

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Even worse, they didn't actually show the console up close itself. Probably the worst hardware reveal in the history of E3.

Take note ASStronaut, we aren't "haterz", we are being reasonable here.
