Gaming - E3: Nintendo WINS! - View Post

I thought Nintendo won as well. With the new hardware being the focus, they still showed games for Wii, DS, and the 3DS as well. With announcements like Ninja Gaiden, the next Tekken, Battlefield, and Super Smash Bros. going cross platform, there was very little reason to not get excited about their future in gaming. Add to that the slew of additions made to Kid Icarus: Uprising (which seemed to be my favorite game of the show), and the way they are handling Legend of Zelda's 25th birthday and there was something for the fare weather fan as well as the fanboy in all of us.

The WiiU, while only in video format showed off a wealth of potential that exceeded my expectations. The third party games seem to be stacking up nicely early on, and with the Nintendo execution on first and second party titles, I see no way Nintendo was looking up at anyone this time around.

I was very skeptical of the new controller before they showed it off, but in typical Nintendo fashion, they won me over with their ability to show me new experiences that are not rivaled by any other company. It was Nintendo's E3 to lose and I was sure they were going to lose it, but in reality, they delivered and then some.
