Guess Project Cafe's launch price

$250 10 3.98%

$300 85 33.86%

$350 84 33.47%

$400 52 20.72%

$450 9 3.59%

$599 11 4.38%

Total:251

Only the jokers have voted $599, I think that's just a bit OTT. $300 is the likely price but defiantly no more than $350

I have a feeling Nintendo will aim for $300, but exchange rate changes could push them to sell it for $350 or $400 ... The price won't be announced until 3 months before the system is actually released.

I'm hoping for a price around 300$.

Need something off Play-Asia? http://www.play-asia.com/

I'm guessing it will be $350, but with no price announced at E3.

Switch Code: SW-7377-9189-3397 -- Nintendo Network ID: theRepublic -- Steam ID: theRepublic

Now Playing
Switch - Super Mario Maker 2 (2019)
3DS - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Trilogy) (2005/2014)
Mobile - Yugioh Duel Links (2017)
Mobile - Super Mario Run (2017)
PC - Borderlands 2 (2012)
PC - Deep Rock Galactic (2020)

I don't see it below 399$ because :

- touchscreen is no cheap technology, and from what we heard the controller will have a rather large one (same size or larger than an Iphone one, and an Iphone is an expensive thing).

- If the technology inside the system is even slightly more advanced than 360/PS3, it will probably be a big jump from the Wii in terms of cost (developement and components)

probably around $350, and no they won't say anything at E3 (this year's anyway)

Doing a quick search on the net, I found 6 inch touch screens for as little as $20 in lot sizes around 100 ... In other words, depending on what the capabilities of the touch screen are, touch screens can be very affordable. Hypothetically speaking, if Nintendo used a touch screen with a resolution of 480x320 they might be able to sell a controller for $50 or less while still turning a profit; at the same time, if Nintendo decided that they needed a full 720p screen it would likely be $100 (or more) for each controller.

350 is the least I'd expect it. If they have a really good E3 conference with alot of good press they may push the price to 400. I bet the 3ds was originally going to be for 200 before the press was blown away at e3.

Who needs exchange rates...

Europeans hate you right now.

Not really, he's probably pretty close because €/£ prices always include VAT unlike $ prices (usually with quite generous rounding up as well). The £ used to be a lot stronger than the € but now it's just a little stronger so it could be something like £ 270-280.

True apart from pounds price at 280  it's actually kinda close to pricing structure in EU vs US ;) Well at least we get out games cheaper and the prices for them fall faster.
