Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

There were no guns in that game and they weren't needed. It was a fun game due to its gameplay, charming characters, comedy, scenery and silly but interesting plot. It all came together beautifully.

Damn Naughty Dog for turning the franchise into a GTA/shooter/platformer combo with 2 and 3.

Jak and Daxter and Jak 2 (Jak 3 should not be considered as such). Then I guess Super Mario World.

Ghosts 'n' Goblins, although I sucked at it (even more than at other platformers)

I know this is gonna sound strange, but Uncharted is one of my favorite platformer.

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

The best platformer... Ever!

Yoshi's Island I guess. I really liked the variety, imagination, and style of the game. The controls and whatnot were also excellent, but I take that for granted in Mario games.
