Wii shouldn't keep getting late ports of CoD it's stating to get ridiculous at the point.

Late or not, it'll only sell a small fraction of what the HD consoles sell. HD consoles and PC are the bread and butter. No point in dividing their attention with an inferior Wii port.

the wii version has better controls and you know it lol

that made me laugh so hard

@ Your guess is as good as mine.

Which is 1 million for the average HD game to break even (ports) and like 1.5 million for exclusives (those exclusives like, exclusives, that don't have PC version to share costs).

As for the Wii I think the average game needs to sell about ~300K. I've seen developers being "happy" with 200K but that seems the very low end.

The Wii ill probably still get a CoD game this year to. Who knows, maybe it will be a new entry in the series, that would be awesome

THey likely will announce it soon, as they already have an active Wii engine. The Wii COD games have sold at least a mil WW, who would turn down a 20 million dollar profit?

I'm not too worried. Sure the Wii versions don't sell as much, but they still turn a nice profit. How much money do you think they spent on the down graded Wii ports? Some from the ground up Wii games can turn profit at 300k eve, and WaW is at 1.47 million, CoD 3 is at 1.25 or something and Reflex just broke the 1.00 mark. It's still a profit.
Besides, it's Treyarch, not Infinity Ward, I'm sure (like always) they'll give the Nintendo console a break. Big Red One was on GCN, CoD 3 and WaW were ported to Wii right off the bat, and they even went out of their way to port over Reflex.

The Call of Duty series on the Wii has been a case study of demand destruction at work. Today, nobody seems to remember that Call of Duty 3 on the Wii outsold the PS3 version, and that was without online multiplayer. Instead, people remember that World at War on the Wii did a lot worse, without remembering that it was a heavily gimped port missing a lot of features for no good reason. The other thing people tend to remember is that Modern Warfare: Reflex never made it close to the PS3/360 versions' sales, despite being released two years late with zero advertising in the shadow of Modern Warfare 2, which Activision advertised extensively. Simply put, the Wii versions never did well because Activision never gave the series a chance to do well, and have instead been trying to drive Call of Duty fans off the Wii by making that version noticeably worse or late in a sort of scorched earth strategy.

Super World Cup Fighter II: Championship 2010 Edition

That's good thing I'll say, Wii isn't made for ports... since 360 and p3 are very similar in terms of hardwere it's natural than most games go multiplatform, but to make good games on wii they must be designed for it from the ground-up.

They can only dream about that as the Wii audience simply moves to the next big thing, if one fails. No CoD this year? Sure, bring on Conduit 2.

They need much more to move audiences than a war game. I think even if the 360 version was significantly inferior to the PS3, the 360 version would still outsell the PS3 one.
