They're throwing a lot of money out.

CoD: MWR sold much over a million with amazingly zero advertisement.

While not selling as good as the HD counterparts, they pretty much got higher revenue for the Wii's development costs.

1 million sales on the Wii may get almost the same revenue as 3 or 4 millions on the PS3 or 360, I guess.

But again, they just might not have the time to do it because of the first Modern Warfare port.

HAHAHAHHA, nice BS.

You should discuss other people's posts with your own thoughts and opinion on the matter, not telling that what they wrote is bullshit.

Seriously though, complete nonsense. 1 million on Wii = 3/4 million on HD.

If that was the case we would see more quality games on the Wii.

And 1 million is what you need to an average HD game to sell in order to break even. CoD as a AAA game on HD consoles might have that mark a little over 1 million. So at least 3 million sales might equal the same profit for 1 million on the Wii. Which by the way, can reach that mark with zero advertisement, as last CoD.

Well the average Wii game is very low quality. Hence, why they don't need to sell a million copies.

Also, MW:Reflex was just a port. That's cheaper than creating an entirely new game. For example; games like Bioshock, Lost Planet, and Ninja Gaiden 2 didn't need to sell a million copies on the PS3 to be profitable.

The Wii port didn't need advertisements because its an already popular franchise and it shines in the Wii's lackluster FPS library.

The series, or even the whole FPS war simulator genre should be in decline in popularity anyways. Seriously, how many war FPS games can they make before people get tired of it? People got tired of the rehashed, annual versions of guitar rhythm games it will likely happen with Call of Duty series and similar games.

Wii shouldn't keep getting late ports of CoD it's stating to get ridiculous at this point.

I agree completely!

Yes they do. If not more.

The average HD game, even if it is crappy, is very expensive, hence why either companies need it to sell over a million copies, or go bankrupt, which already happened this gen countless times.

nah, I am not going to use the Move.. I hate motion controls.. I am against it but I also hate the whole control scheme..

Currently playing: MAG, Heavy Rain, Infamous

Getting Plat trophies for: Heavy Rain, Infamous, RE5,  Burnout and GOW collection once I get it.

I wonder if this game we'll see Move support, and I wonder on top of that - in the case of being good controls - if players will be able to confront each other together despite of control.

This shall pretty much show to players which control is superior.

No, I mean the ports on the PS3 didn't need to sell a million. The games mentioned were already profitable on the 360 a lone. Ports are cheaper to develop than the inital cost of creating the game. Hence, MW:Reflex was just a port.

The companies that went backrupt were releasing shit after shit. I'm glad they went bankrupt, it rids the HD library of crap. Thus allowing great games to sell even better.

@ Mr. Pugg

Ports on PS3, even being ports, most probably need indeed to sell a million. That's what I said.

And the same way MW Reflex was a port from HD, Black Ops. can also be, hence, even more profitable and doesn't even need to sell that good to turn out profit.

Well obviously recycling content is far cheaper than creating it all from scratch. So I doubt any port needs to sell a million to be profitable.

The PC, PS3, and 360 specs are so similar they can easily share the same game (which is why they often share the same games). But the Wii hardware differs so greatly that it'll need a port specially tailored for it. I guarantee its cheaper to port between HD consoles than it is to bring a HD game to the Wii.

And I guarantee you that a good game (not crap) on PC, PS3 and 360 that sells 2 million (all platforms added) is a flop.

Just the fact of being an HD game, set's a 1 million as the break even mark. For exclusive games, that mark may go higher. For higher profile games, even if being multiplat, 1 million is always the low end to break even in said games.
