Alfred Hitchcock, James Cameron and Stephen Spielberg

I'm not really into films enough to have a favourite director. Although I guess I recognise that Steven Spielberg has made a lot of incredible films, with Jaws being my favourite. He really knows how to draw an audience in.

Also, looking at John McTiernan's filmography, he's directed three of my all time favourite movies (Die Hard, which is my number one, Die Hard with a Vengeance, and Predator), so props to him as knowing how to make a great action movie.

Hiyao Miyazaki, with Spirited away even though Mononoke is my favorite. Spirited Away is something else and has everything. It's pure magic from start to finish and never lets up with the wonder. I like how he simply gives a big middle finger to the normal progression of pacing and manages to create incredibly powerful scenes where nothing is said.




Wes Anderson, The Budapest Hotel, his peak performance. His best work playing with aspect ratios and his best caricatures in an amazing setting.



Terry Gilliam, 12 Monkeys, also Bruce Willes' best performance. Amaing attention to detail while always leaving you guessing what's real or is it all merely a psychosis.

Kim Jong Un, he's got the most potential to be a good guy. He also has a really nice haircut all the time, it makes him look iconic, his hair his definetly his MO. 

Did you misread the title as Who is your favourite Dictator?
