Super Mario Party didn't boost hardware sales for Switch but did decent numbers. Mega Man 11 does slightly better on Switch than PS4 but nothing incredible overall (I blame Might No. 9)

While Warriors Orochi sold better on PS4, MegaMan is selling better on Switch.

Though there is a difference between Orochi selling ~95k better on PS4 and Rockman selling ~2.5k better on Switch.

Yeah, I'm aware. But I'm more interested into which genres (or presentation or series) sell on which console. Warriors Orochi and Megaman are just another puzzle piece to create the big picture.

A little boost from SMP. Above baseline for NSW and below for PS4

Thanks for your continuing work on this, this graph really gives insights. As others explained (I wasn't aware) the drop in PS4-sales is because a price-drop for Pro is coming. This will probably boost PS4-sales next week. Interesting to see if it leads to a new baseline.

COMG ratios:

First week:
Super Mario Party
NS - 1:875
Assassin's Creed Odyssey
PS4 - 1: 587
MegaMan 11
PS4 - 1:482
MegaMan 11 NS - 1:814

Other:
Marvel's Spiderman
PS4 - 1:818
TLoH: Sen no Kiseki IV -The End of Saga PS4 - 1:1003
Musou Orochi 3 PS4 - 1: 632
Musou Orochi 3 NS - 1: 540
Minecraft NS - 1: 285

Only posting the ones that got  >10 pts on COMG. But can post the rest if someone is interested.

Thanks a lot for these. It's nice to see how COMG compares to the final numbers.

OT: Switch is strong but PS4 is getting quite low. I know that's partly due to next week's 10% PS4 Pro price cut (starting October 12) but I'd still like to see a bigger price cut on both PS4 and PS4 Pro.

I wonder if any of the upcoming games can improve PS4's baseline a little, at least temporarily?

Kingdom Hearts 3
Resident Evil 2
Devil May Cry V
Granblue Fantasy
Lost Soul Aside
Code Vein
Edge of Eternity
Sekiro
Ghost of Tsushima
Judge Eyes
Left Alive
Ace Combat 7
Digimon Survive
Final Fantasy VII Remake (when will this game even release?)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
Red Dead Redemption 2
Other games?

PS4 baseline could really use a boost but I doubt it'll get one from the 10% price cut on PS4 Pro only.

Decent debut for SMP

Yokai Watch 4 may of got delayed to Spring 2019, but it still seems which is going to have a solid year in 2018 with Let's Go and Smash on the horizon. Great numbers for Super Mario Party, with the legs the series is known for I could see it getting close to 700k lifetime especially with a big holiday boost.

2019 is going to be absolutely insane though for Switch in Japan. We're still a ways out and the line-up is already packed with big upcoming titles; New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, Tales of Vesperia, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Yokai Watch 4, Daemon X Machina, Yoshi's Crafted World, an onslaught of Final Fantasy titles, Luigi's Mansion 3, Animal Crossing, Pokemon Generation 8 and that's just so far.

If Dragon Quest XI S is announced for 2019 in Japan or anything else for that matter is just going to be overkill.

Wow, people still play Mario Party

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

Switch really dropping the ball.

Thanks. Didn't know about the soon-to-be price drop of PS4, with that in place, numbers should be really up from today's
