I played Diablo I & II for years and years, and never really grew tired of it.
Diablo III I played for like 2-3months and was done with it.
Id say its not a great game, it threw the baby out with the bath water.
They changed so much of what was core to diablo, with the 3rd installment, that it just kinda lost that appeal it had for me.
A much much better diablo like game, is out thats free to play though, called Path of Exile.
If you want to give these types of games a try, you could make a account and try that out, before decideing on diablo III.

900p and 60 fps sounds reasonable then. I could not remember how those versions ran.

Well this version of it (and the latest expansion pack) is only 1 year old. Oh and the fact that it's still full price on PS4 is a pretty good reason to charge full price for it on Switch too... |
I got it for $20 on clearance for PS4 literally years ago.

It's a port for a new platform... publishers aren't going to be porting games over if they don't think there's a lot of money in it. They still sell it full price on other platforms, so they certainly won't undershoot that.
Nintendo owners should really get accustomed to paying more for similar games that are available used elsewhere. I'm glad they've ported it over, it seems like a perfect game for the Switch.

One big difference is all of the new techniques used in newer releases or updates. Digital Foundry had a cool video comparing the previous gen with the Switch where the visual differences were profound despite the resolution and such being similar.
It is most certainly far better equipped than last gen hardware.

Did you play Victor Vran or Titanquest by any chance? Are they more the like of old-school Diablo?

Well, sales on the Switch eShop happen to. Usually not for fresh releases though. So some sale might happen down the line, like it did on PS4, but for comparison the usual price should be used.

They added a new class last year. There was also a few new areas added at the same time but no additional Act like with Reaper of Souls.
Signature goes here!

Well, I just look at the time and effort it probably took to do the Crash N'Sane Trilogy and compare it to the time and effort to port Diablo 3 to the Switch, and I'd say it was probably took more time and cost more to make the Crash port that sold for $40 on release.
That's my mindset. But, then again this isn't about cost and effort, this is about maximizing profit.
