Forums - Gaming Discussion - "Why does Nintendo ignore us?!?!?!?"

A common complaint I hear from hardcore gamers is that Nintendo ignores them. Whenever Nintendo isn't in a perfect position, many people claim they are capable of making smarter decisions than them.

After browsing VGChartz and other places however, thank GOD hardcore gamers don't run the company. On this website alone I've seen some crazy claims (such as):

1. Someone saying a Switch TV should be made. A console meant to be SWITCHABLE...locked to a TV ._.

2. The Switch apparently is weak because the Joycons. You know, it's totally not because it's $299 and the strongest handheld you can get with a 3 hour battery

3. The SNES mini means Nintendo is going third party. Why? Well, because fuck you. That's why.

4. Switch is a flop because the PS4 (on pace to outsell the Wii) is being outsold. Not like it being a juggernaut and the Switch experiencing stock issues impacts it at all.

People gotta learn to not say dumb shit like this. I mean, come on. We're better than this. What are we, IGN? The youtube comment section?

Hello, I'd like a #2 with no mayo, extra pickles, and none of those freaking slivered onions with a large order of friend  onion rings, and you better give me at least 5 packages of ketchup!

If hardcore players ran the company Nintendo would be lucky to release anything not named Zelda, Smash, F-Zero, Metroid, and Wave Racer.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

We'd see them create a $1000 Switch with a 5 minute battery life and a GTX 1070.

I think when Nintendo ramps up production they need to centre their advertising around the fact that its back in stock. It would create a sense of urgency to buy one if people who haven't even heard of it found out its in high demand.

Agree with this thread 100%. Some things people on say on VGC dont make sense.
If you want a TV only switch then just play the switch TV only.
For a hybrid the Switch is really impressive and the battery life isnt bad.
The SNES mini is for the fans and no way does it mean Nintendo will go third party because they arent putting games on other platforms.
People expecting Switch to outsell the PS4 had their expectations too high.

Some people are just passionate about they're opinions, that doesn't mean they are "dumb" or "stupid".

Some can be simply ignorant about the subject at hand also. 🤔 Like, too lazy to do some research first on the market.

Read anything on N4G and this place seems rather tame in comparison.

Hmm, I haven't heard the 3rd one. Where did that come from?

If Nintendo could make a console that was more powerful than Xbox One X, sell it for $300.00 and still make the same great games they're making right now? It's hard to argue that they wouldn't clean house because you're covering all the bases. Right now, they've got a good thing going but just imagine if all the latest AAA third party games were on it as well. It would be the console to end all consoles.
