Forums - Gaming Discussion - "Why does Nintendo ignore us?!?!?!?"

monocle_layton said:

A common complaint I hear from hardcore gamers is that Nintendo ignores them. Whenever Nintendo isn't in a perfect position, many people claim they are capable of making smarter decisions than them.

After browsing VGChartz and other places however, thank GOD hardcore gamers don't run the company. On this website alone I've seen some crazy claims (such as):

1. Someone saying a Switch TV should be made. A console meant to be SWITCHABLE...locked to a TV ._.

2. The Switch apparently is weak because the Joycons. You know, it's totally not because it's $299 and the strongest handheld you can get with a 3 hour battery

3. The SNES mini means Nintendo is going third party. Why? Well, because fuck you. That's why.

4. Switch is a flop because the PS4 (on pace to outsell the Wii) is being outsold. Not like it being a juggernaut and the Switch experiencing stock issues impacts it at all.

People gotta learn to not say dumb shit like this. I mean, come on. We're better than this. What are we, IGN? The youtube comment section?

So! Apparently you're against freedom of speech now!

How DARE you lecutre us FANS on trying to make Nintendo GREAT again! Our crudsade of screeching in obscure gaming forums will one day change the world! By storm!

Gamers that also have an obsession with hardcore pornography.

They're jerks.

A user on here (forgot who) said Nintendo is clearly going third party because of this, and made a post saying this will hurt the Switch

The Gamecube was a powerful console, but look at what happened.

The Switch simply appeals to who Nintendo's audience is. People like their games on the go.

The Gamecube didn't use DVD-9 discs like the PS2 and Xbox and it also didn't have a full second analog stick. Games like GTA 3 would have been nearly impossible. That argument (Gamecube was powerful and it failed) has always been a total fail and it needs to stop being used. Power was not what killed the Gamecube. Limited media did it in.

Not gonna challenge you. Just gonna say the Gamecube controller was missing a few things the other controllers had (analog buttons, L3/R3, four shoulder buttons, a "select" button) but that right C-section stick functioned as well as any other analog stick.

Carry on.

Huh, I can't see it for some reason..

Your posts-per-page count is probably different from his.

Powerful console <> 3rd parties are coming

It's a common misconception the 3rd-parties are missing the Nintendo-boat because of power. If this was the case, they would've come to Gamecube.

They didn't come to Gamecube because their games couldn't fit on a mini disc.

what games didnt come to GC cause they couldnt fit? Do you have a source?

Ah, yes, the old Caesarean stick.  Surprised that never caught on with gamers.  Could have been the birth of something special.

I hear you. Switch Pro and Switch Mini branching off in two years sounds awesome. Switch TV... is totally off concept for the whole Switch line.
