Forums - Gaming Discussion - Just cancelled my Halo:MCC pre-order.

Just cancelled my MCC pre-order.

I was kind of on the fence about buying it anyway because I own all 4 games on Xbox/X360 and I didn't really see the point of spending £40 on something I already have. The metascore (88) sealed the deal for me though - it's clear there's a few issues when a remastered collection of 4 games with an average metascore of over 90 does lower than that...also the fact that Nightfall sucks means that there's basically no added value to this for me anymore so I'll just stick with the Xbox/X360 versions.

Anyone else do this after seeing the reviews and finding out Nightfall sucks?

I really don't know what to say but write this sentence. Your first sentence is a reasonable one though.

While its fine that you don't want to rebuy games, using the Metascore as your reason is pretty laughable. As I said in another thread, for collections, you really don't get much higher than 90...most reviewers dock a point just because its not a new game.

If you think that the improvements and the online would be worth it for you, I think you should ignore the metascore and get it anyways. If not, then why did you even preorder the game in the first place?

I wouldn't let metacritic dictate whether I purchase a game or not. I don't think many will share your sentiments about reviews tho, it's one of the highest rated games this holiday, only behing Bayo (so far)

halo:mcc cancelled because of halo nightfall and the 88 metascore?

is this serious?

Wait, so a metascore (88 is a deal breaker? wot?) actually affected someone's purchase of a game? For serious?

Like, are you one of those people that go by, 90+ or nothing logic?

Lol what about if the reviews in progress come in and make it 90?

If you've played one or two halo's and want (kind of) the complete story then this is a dream package at $60.
But if you played all 4 and got all out of it then yeah, no point, unless you wanna pick it up in a few years for nostalgia.

Hmm. Seems like a strange reason to cancel a preorder.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
