So to all the frequent and not so frequent posters why do you post on vgchartz?

Is it share your great gaming knowledge  with those not so knowledgeable as you?

Do you feel the need to boast or defend your favorite gaming  company while trashing talking others with your deep seated passion (and if so why)?

Is it to be informed about the latest gaming news and info from around the world even though they maybe rumors or totally made up by a user?

Maybe you want to build a gaming community in online games with users you can speak with outside of the game?

Or is it just for the sales?

It's mostly just a habit I've had for the longest time. I realized a little while ago that I don't even care about the sales. I just come here for the sake of coming here. It's like my second Facebook.

Makes me feel closer to my one true love..

I know the people here, and they know me. It's a good feeling, and it's not really something I have in any other online community.

The quality of discussion varies. Sure, there are slow days, and weeks, but sometimes we do get some real gems of discussion on this site, and that makes it all worth it.

And, of course, the fact that I'm a moderator. In a way, it can be frustrating and exhausting, but in another it's great because you really do get to help the site.

Got banned from Neogaf by insulting a troll. But the troll was also banned, so it was totally worth it.

Also, if you type Vgchartz, it gets automatically censored lol, don't know whats the beef between here and gaf. And in here you got sales data weekly, which is a big feature, there's no other community like this as far as I know.

The english level however, could be better. I'd like the native english speakers to become grammar nazis and point out what we're not doing right.

I've thought of that, but I don't mean to come off as offensive...

Anyway, I came for the sales data, stayed for the friends. And boredom helps, I suppose.

I came originally because of the sales data, and now that nothing interesting sales-wise is going on I've stayed for the community. The only reason I frequent vgchartz as much as I do is because it's so easy to do on an iPad. I just touch a button and I'm on the hot topics page. It is yet another fantastic feature offered by Apples award-winning iPad, which is available in 2 colours and 16gb, 32gb and 64gb models!

Stumbled upon it a few years back and been visiting ever since. I get most of the info I want from here and the forums are pretty cool too.

I honestly love this site and these forums. I consider the members really extended family. It's been ages since I was actually interested in sales numbers. Also this site gave me a reviewing position that has improved my writing and helped me fulfill my dream of going to E3 (twice).
