I mean it's not gonna be pushing consoles.  the game will easily break 10 million sold, but I can't see it having a mega huge impact on console sales, as it's a fair assumption that all halo fans already have a 360 (what with 3, reach, ODST, and Wars)

I don't think the ps3 will be able to get a big enough gap before the holidays to maintain it's lead on the 360 for the entire year, So with halo 4 and all the kinect crap and a price cut the 360 should win with at least 400k at the end of the year

My bad, I thought you were talking software. On the HW side, it might not push a lot of consoles, but with a halo 4 custome bundle it should move at least an extra 50k.  

I expect the 360 to remain strong in the West.

it depends on the price drop, if it happens, when it happens and how much it is. A cheap kinect bundled xbox would still be big in America this year.

From the sounds of what Sonys been saying they seem pretty set on not dropping the price of the vita (I expect lots of bundles for the holidays). Although the ps3 one sounds like it could be a possibility but i doubt that one too since it hasnt even been a year yet since the official drop down to $250. What i do expect though is a price drop on the PSP from $130 down to $100.

Anything could happen at E3, but it looks like the 360 is slowly starting to loose its lead. Unless Wii U kills the sales of both PS3/360 and the next gen starts in 2013, I think PS3 will beat 360 in the end with the ground it gains this year.

Xbox will beat the PS3 this year, I have no doubt about that.

If the 360 has a price cut I think it will win based on holiday sales.

PS. I'm one of the people that thinks the 360 really won last year as well.  If it ships more this year it will really bring into the question the claim that PS3 won 2011 & 2012 (if the same thing happens at the end of this year that happened at the end of 2011).

The PS3 is the most expensive console out of the 3 because it costs the most to produce, i don't see why sony should cut the Price of the PS3 unless the unit cost with the introduction of a new superslim is less than the $200 magical barrier everyone wants. With their current financials they should be happy to sell 12million consoles all at a profit than 14-15million all at a $10-20 loss. Also i doubt a 360 price cut (Unless its the kinect bundle massively discounted) would lead to any meaninfull increase in sales ouside the USA, as despite what some people on here may believe USA doesn't =The world. Also i only think Halo 4 will only sell 8.5million lifetime with it being this late in the cycle and with COD Black ops 2 releasing 3 days later.
