Hm, good guesses all around, 360's was downright amazing, PS3's did decent would almost be on par with 360 if it wasn't for a certain poster..., but what in the hell happen to Wii!?

I think it's safe to say that the Wii did better than expected, and the rest did about expected.

I'm a winner! LoL. Wii sold more than both HD combined by over half a million..I don't think people expected Wii to have this strong a Holdiday as in the other thread there was much talk about this being a competitive Holiday. Just look at how far off the community was on Wii..my goodness. Hindsight huh?

even though i cheated a bit by being late onto the guess,my way off got me close to the overall total,

i did think people would splash out on consoles after a thrifty year and wasn't far off although in the wrong consoles

i actually thought the wii would sell 7.2m but didn't go with it,ps3 not bad,but thought the 360 would sell more

Considering you're doing positives and negatives taking the RMS or something would probably be more useful.

Getting 50% over on one and 50% under on another isn't accurate.


Of course you might have already done this but I can't be bothered looking that closely at the numbers =O, thanks for doing all these charts though kowenicki. VGChartz was obviously surprised by the Wii =P

I don't think anyone anticipated it to outsell it's 2008 holiday(except for a few).
