Personally I would like SMG to be H.A.R.D. One for the purists if you know what I mean. Even if it is uber mainstream, it'll never have an opening like MW2. Soz

Don't get me wrong - Super Mario Galaxy 2 is guaranteed to be a fantastic game, and it is a very likely contender to not only become my game of the gen, but my game of the forever.

But a sales monster it is not. It'll be hard for it to surpass the first Galaxy's sales, and even if it does I don't think it can get very far past 10 million.

Galaxy 2 will no doubt be big, but nowhere near MW2 or NSMB Wii levels. It'll probably sell 8 million tops, since that's what the first one sold, and I really can't see the sequel of essentially the same game outselling its predecessor.

This pretty much sums up my feelings.

To be honest, I think SMG2 will sell lifetime in the realm of what MW2 sold first week (9-10 million)
