Well, I've beaten the game.....

The trailers are trying to make it seem more western to appeal to that western audience and it definitely does have that Obvilion vibe to it.

Demon's Souls is not a WRPG.  It's an ARPG/JRPG with a bit more western art style.

When have you ever seen a WRPG with Asian weapons like Uchigatana?

X360 has some decent JRPG, but they are pretty much just the HD version of traditional JRPG.

Games like Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls give me the refreshing "Next Gen" RPG experience.  I think a lot of RPG lover at VGChartz would agree with me.

Oh noes 7th generation CONFIRMED as the best for JRPGs.....

you see on DMC you also level up and all, you go through levels fight monsters wtih button mashing , Folklore is the same.

why can't we expect JRPG to evolve in this generation?  it may not be your favorite genre, but a lot of gamers still love it the most.

It's pretty close, but i know 1 thing. If VC2 was announced for PS3 instead of PSP, that would tip the scale in PS3's favor.

You critizised the 360 JRPGs to be just HD upgrades. That makes me think you never enjoyed a traditional JRPG before this gen, which is obviously nonsense. I have no idea why you wrote that part.

what i was trying to say is, the Japanese RPG developers have to bring more novelty into this genre.

they can't just upscale the graphics and expect the game to sell.  only the existing "fans" will buy those games and those "fans" are getting older.  they either have very little time to play games or completely give up on gaming.  the JRPG delelopers need to figure out a way to bring new blood into this genre.  i pointed out VC and DS are refreshing because these two games are very unique and different from other JRPG we have ever experienced on PS2 era.  you have a PS3, try those games and you may understand what i meant.

u missed alot of jrpg for the 360, tales of vesperia,eternal sonata,enchanted arms,magna carta 2, cross edge,final fantasy 11:online,last remnant ( should be their as well, doesnt matter if its on the pc, its only for the 360 as of consoles , since the ps3 version is no where to be found ), final fantasy 13. also 80% of the ps3 games u listed are not and i repeat not jrpg's they are srpg's or action/rpg's so they dont belong in this comparison. neither does the last 3 u listed for the 360, as far as jrpg's go the ps3 has only eternal sonata,tales of vesperia,enchanted arms,cross edge and final fantasy 13,last rebellion,artier rorona. the 360 is still the king this gen, cant get around the games selection.
