Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Modern Warfare 2 officially not heading to Wii

Disappointing, but oh well.

I'm with you on this I wanted to try MW2 with Wii controls, but eh...I'll just get the PC version in the grand scheme it's REALLY no big lose.

@CGI: I agree sir! I think whats gets people in a tizzy over major sequels not coming to Wii in perticular, is the feel that the Wii is being neglected, even though the Wii has more core 3rd party exclusives then the other consoles. People are looking for PS2 style exclusivity...which with the direction that the industry is going PROBABLY won't happen again.

@psychoBrew: While HVS Q3 engine is a good one, and very scalable from what they say, IW 4.0 is impressive as well, it may not be as scalable as Q3, or Gamebyro, but Treyarch did a decent job getting it to run on Wii.

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

Call of Duty best selling game ever? hahaHAHAhahaHAHAHAHA.

They're not Nintendo or Rockstar Games. The game never even had a chance.

pretty pathetic

1) the COd4 engine is already on Wii
2) COD5 actuially sold well funnily enough
3) they could have made a tidy profict easily to fund the HD counterparts sequal.
4) I bought world at war, I wanted a sequal.

Want a sequel? Get a PS3 or 360

Stop assuming that we love dual analog.

What did you play last gen Samus Aran?

So a company is evil now because they don't wanna make a much inferior version of a game for people that are not used to play with dual analog?

Because no control scheme is "better" the best control scheme is always going to be the one you use frequently.

That kind of comment can only come from a Wii only owner.

it's not a big deal modern warfare was overrated

sure...

Anyway on topic:

This news doesn't surprise me at all. You might need to take a look on this:

Call of Duty 3 - developed by Treyarch - released on Wii

Call of Duty 4 MW - developed by Infinity Ward - not released on Wii

Call of Duty WaW - devloped by Treyarch - released on Wii

Call of Duty MW2 - under developement by Infinity Ward - no release on Wii

For all those who are dissapointed from that move, here's a thought of mine:

Call of Duty 7 - under devlopement by Treyarch - release on Wii        !!!!!

I wonder why Activision seems to only trust Treyarch with Wii development...

It seems that Infinity Ward just doesn't care about Wii development.
