After 2 years on the market, the DS started to have more software that attracted core users. It's probably time for Nintendo to do the same on the Wii. That said, a new Wii series game is also possible, Nintendo will not abandon their expanding audience.

I could be wrong but I suspect that there will be several huge announcements for the Wii at E3 2009 from thid party publishers ... Most Wii games announced at E3 2009 will have started development between January 2008 and September 2008, which means that these projects would be the games that were started soon after many publishers (basically) realized that the Wii's dominance was here to stay and they needed to support the Wii in order to survive.
