i'm shocked that, for once, thw main character looks like a guy and not a girl and isn't emo. Must just be the "no-Nomura" vibe :P

Soriku you know that means this game is going to bomb just because of that. :P

People, we still know very little about this game. I´m really looking foward to
it though (from what I´ve seen).

I didn't give a damn about this game until I saw this. That pointer control looks kickass. Maybe I'll have to re-evaluate my impressions of Square as a bunch of has-beens endlessly repackaging legacy content.

Too bad the protagonist looks like such a dork, though. :P

Layle? Where'd you get that info?

Btw, the graphics are on par with FF XII (or slightly better)...what's the problem?

Oh, and I had a though. Neku in TWEWY used telekinesis and had NO weapons. What if the protagonist gets more crystals and is allowed to do some melee attacks, teleport attacks, fire attacks (there is magic, btw), etc. just like Neku? That'd own.

Didn't square say not to long ago that they were gonna make a TWEWY sequal and on the Wii or something.

Seems like it wouldn't be too much of a stretch since they are already getting used to the telekinesis mechanics with this game.

and lol just watched with sound, what is with the music in the beggining.  i was half expecting a cowboy to pop out and say check out the footage while holding a wiiwheel

I get a little more depressed every tie I see something of the game. But i can understand why the rest of you like it so much...

*sigh*

If I remember your posts correctly it is because of the lack of multiplayer right? If so I'm sure Square-Enix will keep making the multiplayer focused ones along with the single player ones. Look at EoT it was thought up after Crystal Bearers and the main focus in the game is multiplayer. I would actually like a Crystal Chronicles MMO to branch off of FFXI, but keeping the battle system from the Crystal Chronicles series(traditional mmo battle systems are starting to get boring to me). I do actually think they should have just made a new series(could have kept final fantasy in the name for the sales) with Crystal Bearers, and keep the Crystal Chronicles seperate. This game seems unlike both Final Fantasy and the FFCC series.

In my opinion, it is not a Crystal Chronicles game unless it has multi player. The new one, EoT looks ok but even that has killed off some of my hopes because it does not look like it plays like thee original. I absolutely loved thee original for basically everything it provided. I will be getting EoT on import (for the DSi alone) but I am starting to think SquareEnix butchered a series I was very much into.

I agree with you that they should have changed the name. I have made that statement in the past. This is not a Crystal Chronicles game. I was hoping to be able to play a game just like this one with people all over the world. I am not into single player RPG games. They bore me.

At least you understand where I am coming from.

I hate when people say things like this its in the same universe so it's a CC game. It plays comepletly different but that doesn't matter.

So the music isn't epic enough? I loved it, heck they could of used bag pipes and river dancers for a real twist.

There were some key points that I noticed in the game play... I'll say this - I'm upset that this game isn't multiplayer and no echoes of time is not a good enough substitute, but that as a stand-alone I would love to play this game... it isn't however a successor to FFCC for the GC it's more like a spiritual recognition of that game but is moving on with life... I like that.

Finally - the fusing of monsters and the mini games... this seems like an ARPG not so much just an RPG... I can envision that since the protagonist (Layle I believe) is world weary that he will be meeting peopel in his journey that could be long time friends and old comrades in arms.

Yes, he does seem bad ass and it's nice to see that he hasn't been cycled through the Naruma machine.

The game does have an overworld that seems similar to FFIX, I noticed that from the 2nd trailer, I'm sorry for everyone who expected this game to be custom built for them - I really am sorry for your guys.

The Hunt Begins 4/20/2010 =D

I am very very impressed freom what I've seen and the change migh turn out to be good.

SE is exploring a side Franchise with CC, in order to give it strong legs. I hope in the future it will no longer have the Final Fantasy name, it deserves to be a franchise on its own

Prediction: This guy has potential to be one of the best FF protagonists simply because he seems like a self confident badass that gets all the ladies :P

Didn't I just see you criticize this mentality because the game was shooter?

Wow. That was alot more footage than I was expecting. The combat seems like fun and make use of the Wiimote. The graphics look nice and I like the character/enemy designs.

I hope we can throw around all the town NPCs.
