So the music isn't epic enough? I loved it, heck they could of used bag pipes and river dancers for a real twist.
There were some key points that I noticed in the game play... I'll say this - I'm upset that this game isn't multiplayer and no echoes of time is not a good enough substitute, but that as a stand-alone I would love to play this game... it isn't however a successor to FFCC for the GC it's more like a spiritual recognition of that game but is moving on with life... I like that.
Finally - the fusing of monsters and the mini games... this seems like an ARPG not so much just an RPG... I can envision that since the protagonist (Layle I believe) is world weary that he will be meeting peopel in his journey that could be long time friends and old comrades in arms.
Yes, he does seem bad ass and it's nice to see that he hasn't been cycled through the Naruma machine.
The game does have an overworld that seems similar to FFIX, I noticed that from the 2nd trailer, I'm sorry for everyone who expected this game to be custom built for them - I really am sorry for your guys.
