But oh it will happen.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

^^ I always get him on the ground then I start loosing big time!!! *sobs*

PS: I have ALL energy tanks. So I don't think that will help. But I'm missing a few missiles so... :(

I didn't have a problem with Ridley. I found that if you hit him hard with a charged plasma beam when he charges up his breath he gets stunned and you can pound on his chest for a few seconds. You have to get the timing right. Too soon and he's not vulnerable to stunning, too late and he's attacking you.

I had a much harder time with Prime. Took me three tries to finish him, though the second was mostly me getting my butt kicked by the fission metroids in the room before him. My tips for the fission metroids is that they repop, so fighting them tends to be just a war of attrition. However, if you want some time to jump all those platforms and get to Prime, wait until one latches on, let the second fission metroid get nice and close, and drop a super bomb. It's the only weapon which outright destroys them. Make sure you save a couple bombs for fighting Prime later, though. ;)

Prime himself becomes a lot more managable once you learn the correct timing to dodge all his attacks.

I've just put a few hours into Prime 2 so far, but I'm really enjoying the far more detailed environments and superior scan visor UI. The story of the Luminoth seems really contrived and from left field, but the atmosphere has an even more nerve-wracking edge to it than Prime 1.

I agree on Ridley. It was intense, but not too dificult.

Metroid Prime was a whole other story though. I did exactly what you did in the metroid room, as trying to fight your way out of there is just plain impossible. But Prime kicked my ass so thoroughly, it took my friend and I about 5 or six tries. I never used the super bomb though. Are you supposed to drop it just before he charges ot the other side of the room?

What was weird was how much easier the second part of the battle was compared to the first. It only took two tries to kill the metroid's core essence.

@stof,

I had the exact same feeling about echoes as you do right now, but when I actually started to play the game I actually liked it more than Prime 1.

Seriously though, I think I'll definitely give Echoes as try then. Thanks for clearing it up for me, Rol.

If you've got enough missiles you can kill Meta-Ridley using only the Wavebuster. It's kind of a cheap trick though.

Knew about this trick. But for me missiles don't last long enough :(

I am not exactly sure since it has been a while ago, but I seem to remember part of his routine is to charge at you, which isn't very easy to evade and does a lot of damage. However if you time it right you can shout a super missile at him right before he does it (his chest is exposed briefly at that moment) which should damage him and also stop the charge. And besides that there was another time where his chest got exposed so you can shoot at him. Don't have a savegame close to the end anymore though, so I can't check it out for you to make sure. Anyway, tough bosses usually just take perseverance (and maybe a broken controller ) so just keep trying and in the end you should get past them.

Does anyone think we might see super run or "shinesparking" in Corruption? I have my fingers crossed. They gave us screw attack and wall jumping last time.

I played the game at GameStop!!!!! ^______^ It's frickin awesome!!!!!

did you ever play super Metroid Rol?  It's when you run so fast that you shine...then press down, then you can fly in any direction.
