There hasn't been any new info released on the game since 2006, so I don't know how you're seeing that. At the very best Alan Wake would be another 8.5. It is certainly no RE5.

I don't think it'll happen, the 360 is getting old enough to peak anytime now, probably 1st quarter 09 when it nears 3 1/2 years of age on the market (Yes, the PS2, for instance, peaked later than that, but seeing last gen and the need for rapid price cuts 2 years or so into the 360's life I don't expect the 360 to get that old at all tbh). The current sales with its ludicrous price point should also be a hint, lowering the price even more won't do much imo since it is already dirt cheap.

@mikeB; I don't see Japan as very important this gen, right now it seems like no one will perform very well there this gen and none of the three has even a slim chance of doing PS2 lt numbers there imo.

Halo: Recon is not a hurrah, and if it was, it certainly wouldn't be the 360's last. It's an expansion pack.

I know Microsoft's plan. It is to release a new console every five years just like they do with operating systems.

outside of that a console release by any of the major 3 next year spells a recesion for the gaming industry its a bad very very bad idea, and only nintendo could get away with putting one out there before 2012.

I've never actually seen him say it. It's more of a "Palin doesn't know Africa is a country" thing I guess.

It didn't outsell 360 and Ps3 last quarter. It sold 2.1M, X360 and Ps3 sold 2.5M and 2.8M

There you go. It is ingame and it is in 1080p for PC and 720p on Xbox360. That is the only difference. You can' deny it looks freaking sweet. There are some more, you can search them. Pics released Oct 21.

@MikeB: Let's face it, home won't move one single console. The netflix deal with the NXE on  the Xbox360 has a way better chance.

Go here and look. There is not one exclusive game for the 360 there that has the potential to be a AAA game in 2009. Microsoft has already shifted their development to their next console. They just failed to inform you people of the fact. But this article clearly says that they have:
