So with this edition to the PSN, in game XMB, and trophies how far behind is the PSN vs Live?

I have not played with the in-game xmb yet, but if you can not be in any game, and talk to a buddy who is in any other game, then it's got a ways to go.

If you can do that, I think it's pretty much caught up.

I think what hurts PSN more then anything, is the headphone situation. I like that the 360 headphone plugs into the controller, and comes with the system. This ensures that everyone has one, and that it's charged.

Half the time I want to use my headset on my PS3, it's dead. When I do use it, it only lasts a few hours. If I want to game all day, I am screwed.

Side note: Does anyone know of a headset you can plug in, that will work?

You can't do that yet.. and yes, Sony does have a way to go to catch XBL, but it has dramatically closed the gap in the last two weeks. (M$'s announcements this week don't really add that much to increase XBL's lead)

btw, you could try using a USB headset plugged into the console. It would be a pain, but it'd be better than no headset. (not sure if this would sork; never tried it.) Also, I don;t think the USB port on the controller can power something.

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

Cool I can download HD cloverfield for just $5 + $500 ($100 per Gig 3G Wireless) in ISP charges for a total of $505 i get one very low quality HD movie if only i could make room on my Ps3's drive for 5 Gigs somehow ! .

PS3 number 1 fan

Awesome! They have Arrested Development, Firefly, and Snatch!
The coup de grace for me, though, is Robot Chicken season 3. That show is the balls.
Good first day for the store. Nice job, Sony!

And thanks for the heads up Vagabond. I was on PSN 5 times tonight scouring the E3 stuff and didn't even notice the video button. You rule!

For those of you who saw the anime selection, which anime would you recommend? I haven't seen any of them.

Is everyone that cant find it both in America and on the most recent FW update 2.41?

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

I don't think you can go on PSN if you don't update.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

They have a anime section?!

Sweet. I found my home for anime then.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I would love that. Especially considering that Sony BMG, through their ownership of Columbia records, would most certainly make the works of Bob Dylan available. :)

Full Metal should be added soon, as well as Eureka Seven.

Or at least I hope.
