Yeah I have never had an issue with first person perspectives and even prefer it for games like say Cyberpunk 2077 or Metroid Prime where is adds to the immersion and places you in the character's shoes.

Third person is fine too of course, I don't really have a preference, just whichever one best suits the game's needs and the developer's vision.

Grinding. I like when the numbers go up.

While grinding can be just a way to artificially make game longer, often it lets you adjust difficulty, giving you the choice of how much you want to level up and upgrade gear. At best it can even be alternative game mechanic to advance; for example you can have doors that you can either find a key to or get a spell (at certain level) to open. So in that sense I think grinding can be good game design.

And games inevitably have repetition. When the gameplay is simple but great, it effectively becomes grinding, but that's not a problem.

Psychologically broken & fatally flawed characters.
Cinematics.
Open world gameplay.
Long games.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Regular controls in VR. VR is already very niche and there are loud gatekeepers insisting that every VR game must have VR controls, everything interactive with your hands. I prefer more traditional controls than grabbing thin air. I can't enjoy No Man's Sky on PSVR2 with its VR controls.

Remakes when they are well done and for games that deserve them. We can easily agree that there are too many remakes, but that doesn't make a remake a bad thing, it's just that some make sense while others really don't.

I'm not sure I think there are too many remakes but too many unnecessary remakes. TLOU and Horizon didn't need them. Ys Oath of Felghana was a fantastic remake that reimagined the 3rd game and put it in 3D. The RE remakes have been fantastic and are different enough and add more. I don't mind reskinned games with QOL changes either. Xenoblade DE. Ninja Gaiden II Black. Raidou Remaster. Have the same framework of the original game. New visuals. QOL changes to make the game better and maybe some new content. My other issue are remasters that don't fix problems. Shadows of the Damned remaster still has a game breaking bug from the original release.  I like more remasters but make the game a little better when you do. Inlude all previous DLC content. Run better. QOL fixes.

As for the topic, more difficulty options from casual to easy to normal to hard and beyond. If someone wants to play on very hard or casual, no shame. Nor are you more of a gamer to play on hard vs someone on easy. People can play and should be allowed to play however they want.

I like single difficulty game design (potentially unlocking harder difficulties later), which ensures game being built with clear vision and much better tuning than games with lot of difficulty options.

I often find these "horrible" games or sequels. Nowhere near as bad as people claim. Some turn out to be good. Gears fans have you believes Gears 4 killed the family dog. I enjoy the game a lot. Judgment is not my favorite but I still had fun.

I like random encounters in RPGs. It adds some tension when resources are getting low.

Agree. The Yellow Paint thing complaint also seemed weird to me.

Another one for me is complaining about grinding. Probably cause i grew up playing in the 90s, but grinding for levels or farming for items has never felt like a problem. Within reason of course, nothing like Tibia or RO.

Grinding in JRPGs is therapeutic.  I'm also pro turn-based and pro random encounter.
