Yeah I have never had an issue with first person perspectives and even prefer it for games like say Cyberpunk 2077 or Metroid Prime where is adds to the immersion and places you in the character's shoes.

Third person is fine too of course, I don't really have a preference, just whichever one best suits the game's needs and the developer's vision.
