"B" games that are a bit janky or lack the polish of the AAA juggernaughts but still have some interesting ideas or scrappy charm to make up for it; stuff like say Binary Domain, Strange Brigade, Zombie Army, No More Heroes, etc.

I love B games. Usually more interesting to me than most other stuff. Many try something different or in general less risk averse. So even if some lack of polish or a little jank. At least it's trying something. AAA games generally just feel cookie cutter.

Agreed. A lot of gamers will often bash B games for being "janky" or claim they're crap cos they don't have the best graphics or most polished mechanics, but they are often more inspired and interesting than the bigger budget fare.
I like stealth

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Legit’s comment just reminded me: Combat in Zelda BotW/TotK. Everyone moans and complains about it, but I’ve genuinely never even once been upset with it. In fact I’d say it’s some of the best combat I’ve engaged in for my time playing video games. As an action-adventure, it gets the job done with flying colors IMO.
1st person camera, every time there's a release with only 1st person perspective, there's a huge outcry for 3rd person. For me, 1st person kicks 3rd person's ass for immersion, and I also prefer the more direct feel of controls stemming from a model that you're "inside" while controlling it. For instance; driving racing games in a 3rd person view makes no sense at all to me, doubly so in more sim-like games with proper physics models and feedback.

I feel like it's much harder to get a good feeling of your surroundings in driving games in first person, so using a first-person view feels like disadvantaging myself for no reason. Might be the same thing with other sim-like games, but really, I have fairly little experience with either.
To clarify, I'm not complaining about the lack of a third-person view. I don't think I've ever done it, and I'm probably unlikely to do so in the future either. I think it's a valid design choice and puts everyone on the same line. I also couldn't agree more strongly about the feeling regarding controls. Third-person mode doesn't have to feel bad either, but nothing beats the snappy feeling of a well-done first-person mode.
Also, I've rarely seen people complain about the lack of a third-person mode - but I think I have seen it every now and then.

I prefer 3rd person in general. FP can sometimes feel claustrophobic for me. Cyberpunk 2077 been better in third person for me. Doom is better FPS. But generally I rather a good sci fi TPS than FPS even tho I enjoy both.

It's pretty funny how one man's intimate is another man's claustrophobic. I don't share your feeling, but I think I can understand what you mean anyway. For me, third person makes the world feel more distant to me, I guess in an immersion-reducing way. In first person, it feels more like I'm actually in the world, thereas in third person, I kind of feel like an observer, it feels more like just a game.
