I made an embarrassing error in this calculation lol. I didn't account for 1st party titles from which Sony gets a 65%~ cut. Around half of this $953 million may be from 1st party titles. I'm not going to do the math and extrapolation properly, but this should bring down consumer spending on physical to roughly $3.9 billion. The $6.3 billion I calculated assumed 1st party games don't exist (and therefore physical revenue is exactly 15% of consumer spending). $3.9 billion from physical vs $6.35 from digital sounds more reasonable than a tie.
