Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo raised the base salary for its employees by 10%.

Are they doing this because of the Switch 2 price increases?

I don't appreciate your sarcasm.

I like this. Despite still having anti-consumer practices, Nintendo is actually known to treat their employees well.

Likely this is to aid in employee retention; Nintendo puts a lot of work into building and maintaining a highly talented workforce, so they don't want that talent walking out the door.

Exactly, when your business lives or dies on the strength of your first party content, you need to hold onto the people who make that content great.

Sounds good., but the translation makes it sound like this is just an example of something they are doing (did?), and not a company-wide mandate. If it's not the latter, then there's no news here imho.

I'd wait for an actual transcript to get more context on this.
