At some point yeah since there probably won't be any other game as advanced as it till the 2030's. Hopefully the PC version comes out next year.

I am a third category of "No"
I have no problem paying 80 USD for the game, I just have no interest in gaming on anything other than Switch 2 for at least the remainder of this console generation. So, if it comes out on Switch 3, I'll probably get it.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
Maybe once the disc releases. I’ll never understand why they’re holding back the actual physical release in the first place. They say they’re doing this to stop leaks/spoilers, which makes no sense because people are gonna spoil the game regardless as long as they keep giving YouTubers early review copies (some I legitimately believe get early review copies just so they can spoil the game just to be assholes).
Case in point, some asshole posting Resident Evil Requiem spoilers ahead of its release date showed up in my recommendations. So I already knew about:
Before the damn game was even out (I’m still pissed). You want to curtail leaks/spoilers, then add a damn report feature for this shit on YouTube. Seriously, it should be reportable (and bannable), it is if you post spoilers damn near anywhere else online (without spoiler tags). Until they do (and actually enforce it, and I mean ban hammer), it’s in everybody’s best interest if they don’t allow anybody to get their hands on early copies of the game who isn’t a publication like IGN. Actually, it might still be in our best interest if they don’t give YouTubers outside of places like IGN early review copies, period. Then all this shit would stop.

No, I have very little interest in GTA VI at the moment. While I might eventually purchase it out of curiosity during a deep sale, I am more than willing to wait.
If it gets a true physical release then there's a decent chance I get it. I'll watch some reviews when it comes out though. My N1 concern is the story, I think GTA V's story was simply atrocious and if this game is more of that tone/quality of writing then I'll skip this, no matter how good it plays.

Well you missed out on greatness. How old were you when gta3 launched? That game was revolutionary. |
I missed nothing. As I said, I'm not interested in that kind of games. So, I would not enjoy them. I played a bit of Vice City and San Andreas on the PS2 when I was a kid. Got very old very quick.
I was born in 1994 so I was like 6-7 years old when GTA III launched.

If you like tech in games a Rockstar North release is always a rare moment in the industry, it's really impressive to see what they do with their games. It's the definition of doing it "bigger and better" in the industry. It doesn't really appeal much aside from that like other games do for gameplay, style, story, character building, etc, so it is also not nearly one of my most awaited games either, but I do love the tech part of things and it is really cool when one of this games releases, like a Naughty Dog game as well for example, but I do have much more to be interested on those too aside from just how impressive they are. |
I don't really care for tech in games, so that might partially explain why I don't really care for GTA.

One of the things that always turned me off a lot about GTA was that it feels very culturally specific to America in a way that I just don't find relatable as someone who doesn't live in the US.
The focus on gangster culture and generally unlikeable characters doing nasty things also makes me feels kinda icky.

Well, I don't live in Japan and I love any kind of game about its culture, specially because it's so different from the one I live on.
GTA is more of a parody tho, it is exaggerated for the sake of being funny, you may not like that as well.
I heard it's like Yakuza games are for Japan, there is lots of exaggerated humor from what I've heard and some stuff I've seem on videos.
GTA IV for example tho, has a more serious story, sadly it's one of the games with less to do in the series, even as IMO it is the most impressive game from the series, that game was unreal for 2008, but it lacks more fun into the sandbox experience and some people don't like it for that.
