Yes day 1. I don't have a disc drive for my PS5 so the code in the box is actually better for me. And I'm glad it's $80 because I was expecting $90 or even $100
I'll wait for the PS6 version. I might buy a switch 2 and ocarina remake to keep me distracted from all the gta6 hype at launch
I will never buy or support $80 games so soon after the price jumped to $70.

There is quit a lot of content cut thou even stores and things to do with the 80$ price.
Funny how there is no massive backlash for this diobolical practise.
Maybe...some day.
Last GTA that I actually enjoyed quite a bit was SA, and ever since I tend to prefer GTA-esque games (Sleeping Dogs, The Saboteur, Red Faction: Guerilla...) than actual GTA.

Compared to how much will be in the game that "cut content" is probably about 1% lol.
As far as I can tell there's only one gameplay activity, which is a raid on one store. The rest is some exclusive vehicles, cosmetics, vehicle cosmetics and weapon variants.
The extra stores are just there to sell you the ultimate edition items, and frankly it's better that the DLC content is in its own stores rather than every store you go into having locked content for standard edition owners.
The difference in playtime is going to basically nothing.
Frankly I was expecting a $120 ultimate edition with a week's early access or some BS, so I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
When I do buy this I'll get the standard edition.
Yes, on a good sale. Not paying full price for scummy monetization.
The last one I played was GTA3(Vice City) and I kind of lost interest after that. I think I matured into someone who has a hard time relating to a criminal protagonist. (Yeah, I take things too seriously :))
However, the upcoming iteration looks pretty impressive to me and I'm thinking of maybe jumping back in. The vibe speaks to me. Not a hundred per cent sure, but I'm interested at this point. But as per my usual, not at launch but many many patches later.
Cyberpunk 2077 satisfied my appetite for that sort of urban sandbox in a setting more interesting than faux Florida.
I will be playing Ocarina of Time instead.
