Also personally hoping this is a 30fps game. I wanted them to push the visuals to max at 720-900p DLSS (1440p output). I have a feeling Nintendo won't include different performance modes.

Given that, even though anti-aliasing is applied, there's plenty of aliasing in that teaser, I think it's not very high in resolution (someone, either DF or else, will do pixel counting), so they've probably went all out for visual settings vs resolution.

I'm guessing you're aware that OoT is quite different Zelda formula (stripped down ALttP), and it's not guaranteed you'll like it.

It's too early to say, but from that look of Young Link it does indeed look like some of those UE4 demos that I despise with all my heart. I really hope this is just coming from them not showing too much and once we see an actual gameplay trailer the art style looks more fleshed out.

Other than that, I'm happy it's coming this year. Not the biggest OoT fan, but if they do this remake right, Nintendo could change that. Because my problems with the original are mainly tied to it having aged poorly (imo).

I wonder whether this would be November or December? Honestly I'd love for it to go head to head with GTA on the same week just for shits and giggles. Obviously it wouldn't debut No.1 outside of maybe Japan... but I honestly think the media frenzy will actually inflate it's week one sales beyond what they would otherwise be and give the S2 a viral push.

Yeah this almost certainly not developed by the core Zelda team, they'll be knee deep in the next new entry by now.
It's probably being handled by an external partner with Nintendo supervising, similar to a lot of recent remakes/remasters.

Even if this game had not been leaked, I think they needed to show some actual gameplay. So far the only true showcase for what Nintendo can do with the Switch 2 hardware that has even been announced is a rail shooter that is also a remake of an N64 game. With no Mario, Smash, Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, or F-Zero, and only fleeting moments of the new Xenoblade's open environments, Ocarina should have been the game that made everyone stop and say, ' Wow. This looks amazing.' And they chose not to do that and to do nothing but tease their biggest game of the year despite the fact that it is 6 months from release, 7 at most. Instead they spent 5 minutes giving the most boring explanation of Rhythm Heaven and another 4 minutes wasting time on thumb wrestling.

Ocarina of Time is my favorite game of all time (original, i known) but i have to ask, who is this really for?

The original game is AMAZING for it's time, and that time was 1998. There are games on it's on series that surpasses it in scale. Like, what's the plan here? Hyrule field for instance is sooo tiny and uninteresting, no amount of realistic trees and bushes wiil be enough to hide that fact. BUT, if they changed it too much, it wouldn't be Ocarina of Time anymore, would it be? Hyrule field is more like a hub world akin to princess peach castle than a sprolling open world, and that was totaly fine for it's time, it worked. The tecnology wasn't there yet.

My point is, i think a sequel would be a lot better. I consider Twilight Princess to be pretty much a "Ocarina of Time 2". So a knew entry akin to this two games would make a lot more sense.

I'm not saying that the game is going to sell porly or anything like that, just to be clear. I'm just talking strictly as a fan of the original.

the way to have played this was to make a new zelda game with the art style they showed and then use that engine to make the ocarina of time remake. same with star fox. they wasted all this potential on 30 year old games.

This does not rule out either. Think about what Capcom is doing with the Resident Evil games with the same tech. Let's speculate a bit for fun:

2026 LoZ Ocarina of Time (Remake)

2028 LoZ A Link Between Times (New) - Sequel to adult time line

2030 LoZ Majora's Mask (Remake) - Sequel to child time line

i will pplay Ocarina of time for the very first time with this !

Rhythm Heaven  >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>    almost 90% of the rest games

Please show some respect.  July 2nd please come faster!

Small snipet, but if that's what the actual in-game assets look like ... that will be Nintendo's most technical high end game to date visually.

It looks at least FF7 Remake/Rebirth and RE4 Remake quality.

Also the little bits of OoT's orchestral music, especially when it swells at the end was incredible.
