The biggest thing I'm hoping for is a revival of 1 or 2 dead Sony IPs.

I'm insanely hyped to finally see Wolverine gameplay.

But we're going to get at least one new first party announcement with Faye of War from SMS, Fairgames being rebranded as Break In, and a bunch of updates for Kena, Tokon, Marathon Season 2, etc. The OLED Portal will finally be revealed with a holiday release. One or two major third party reveals, updates, and some new indie announcements mixed in. This is my general expectations based on SoP's of the last couple of years. And honestly this would be a great showing for me lol.

I do think we can get at least one more new first party reveal based on how Sony is treating the lead up to this event though. And I'm a little curious if Sony has licensed some more franchises to third parties/indies.

A Sly Cooper or Ape Escape revival feels impossible knowing Sony of today… though if they DID do that, then…um…well I might just consider purchasing a PS6. Though even then theyd still need to prove these aren’t one time ordeals.

There's no way a revival of Sly Cooper or Ape Escape would be PS6 only lol. They're not demanding enough to be next-gen only, and we live in a time where cross-gen will last for at least several years. So you should still be fine with a PS5 for a game like that.

I would rather have a new Astro Bot, as I've never played Sly, but Team Asobi developing something like a new Sly for Sucker Punch would be quite the move.

I call bullshit, but it still grabs my attention. Such showing would be the biggest showing in the decade, closest to 10/10.

That was a relatively good State of Play with some cool stuff though I was hoping for a bigger look into the 2027 first party games. I will say that 20 minute Laufey sequence didn't really grab me. A big part of that will be my lack of context from the previous games but story and character wise I didn't really find that sequence compelling at all.

Me neither. I mean I dont care who I play as in video games, but could Sony at least keep a couple of the old male protagonists around? I mean are there any left? Seems like most of them are being switched out for a female counterpart. I want to see what happens to Kratos next. Not his dead wife running around with a big gelatin cube. WTF was that?
