Can't say I am hyped for games I already played and enjoyed. But I am still a bit intrigued. I have played a lot of remakes over the years, but that is because I never played them before, so hopefully this brings more people into the glory of the OG trilogy and then they make another God of War in Greek mythology.

Well, they just released a new greek God of War yesterday =P

To be fair I hope they move to another mythos as teased on Ragnarok.

Many will disagree with me. But I want a remake that uses the gameplay/presentation of GoW (2018)!

I love OG GoW and I'm set to buy this remake regardless, but i would love new vision of the original God of War trilogy.

I’m assuming this is a full technical rebuild style of remake—like Demon’s Souls, Shadow of the colossus etc—where they use the original code in a new engine and there are minimal changes. I’m not sure exactly how long that takes, but I believe you can remake a game in about 2 years this way. This being three games might change the timeline but then again, the three game combined are probably the size of modern GOW game.

Agreed/same.

“Consoles are great… if you like paying extra for features PCs had in 2005.”

Not gonna lie, not really sure what I'd want from this.

If they want to scale back some of the more undesirable stuff with Kratos and the game (such as the sex mini-games), I'll admit that I won't really care. As long as they keep his brutality intact, I think any other changes are going to have zero impact on the overall experience as long as the game looks good, sounds good, and plays well.

As for actual gameplay changes... if they're going to go the route of making this closer to the Norse games (not exactly the same), then that's fine as long as the original games are put onto PS Classics (which is what I would prefer from this project in all honesty).

Regarding how far out this game is depends entirely on how much of a change the games will be: if they're just upgrading the graphics then it shouldn't be too long of a wait considering they already have Bluepoint's cancelled MP title to basically pull a lot of existing assets from.

Since they are going this route, I hope we see the rest of the saga remade too. And I really hope SMS are not devoting a lot to resources to this and their only other output becomes Cory's game; but there may be logical reasons for that too.

Anyways, excited to see more. But honestly I'd prefer SMS was making something else.

Those sex mini games are tame. I'm sure they will stay in.

I will play this when the time comes.

Please Watch/Share this video so it gets shown in Hollywood.

Day 1 of course. I always wanted a remake of this trilogy.

If anything they should make them less tame.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Day 1, love those games. I would be ok with some censorships, the sex scenes are just immature, IMO.

They are silly, but they are what they are, that's also part of what Kratos had become back then, if they take things away from his past then his regret and development would be pointless on the future games.

Kratos needs to be able to brutally kill civilians to regain HP, be a massive dick to the boat captain, have sex with a lot of women to try to forget his past, and all of that. That was what he was.

I'm opposed to any changes for the sake of being more in line with how modern days view it, even Sonic being a dick with Amy and holding her back was removed from Generations intro, but that crazy in love young Amy was part of her character and I heard it serves as a plot point for development in Frontiers, so removing it and pretending it did not happen is actually a problem to character development in other games.

I think there's something to be said for reflecting the actual artistic taste and execution of the current team. Doing things differently doesn't mean pandering or being fearful, its just creating an actual good product. If something doesn't work, change it. If the sex mini games are embarrassing and take away from the experience, remove them. The narrative role they play can happen and be expressed in lots of ways, without being a minigame lol

I don't like the word "censorship" being used here. Creative changes for quality reasons, isn't censorship. Plenty of remakes have things removed or altered that don't feel right or flow well with the experience. Censorship is purely done out of fear/avoidance of backlash or moral value
