Few days later, Final Fantasy 16 done. FF16. I died twice, once to bombs because I just stood by them for some reason and to one hunt as didn't know what I was doing, else barely even struggled with the game. Guess I should have chosen hard. Dodge dodge dodge, stagger them and then spam abilities = win, same every fight.

It's really sad to me that of what FF has become, this was for all intents a very pretty but extremely generic game. It was while playing it, that I realised why I dislike modern FF games (outside of the lack of ATB that is and their open world terrible quests thing). Basically all cool big things, the flashy things the heroes do? We don't do anymore. The main character does. FF13, some parts of 15, definitely FF7Rs and 16 the worst of the lot. Like with older FFs, I choose to attack, I cast summons etc sure but big flash things happening in like sequences not battles and generally didn't involve the main character flying about or doing mad things we can't do with them in games.

FF16, go into battles, spam abilities, get to kaiju anime fights, which are a lot of basically scripted sequences and quick time events, my level? Didn't really matter as Clive was the chosen one anyway and there was a literal a energy beam battle sequence near the end like Dragon Ball. I did none of it. Then I get into the fight and it's my dude hitting the bad guy with a sword. Cloud does similar in FF7Remake, in the final fight he is literally cutting buildings and trains in half during cut scenes then we wailing on the bad guy doing like 50 damage per hit for 15 minutes. The cool flashy stuff isn't us.

Ah well, on to something less intents next I think but not sure what.

Hmm, pie.

Add Touhou Luna Nights to the list.

I know nothing about this series beyond knowing its a bullet hell and whatever gathered from this games "story". The only reason I bought it was because I am a fan of Team Ladybug's other Metroidvanias which this entry is. I liked the game; but its mechanics(let enemies graze your hit box to get HP/MP back, but letting them actually touch inflicts high damage) and enemy design are fucking irritating. Presentation and sound are awesome like always from this team but I think my lack knowledge of the source material weakened my final appeal for the game.

With the completion of Touhou Luna Nights, that brings my plat count up to 95. Last 5 games I want to be special ish...

EDIT: One is going back to Astalon Tears to finally muscle through the Boss Rush.

Beat Robocop RC: Unfinished business at 12 hours. 6/10.

I enjoyed the base game better, this was more linear and the side content more tedious but overall decent game for it being standalone DLC. I just hope this team goes back to semi open world.

Counting clearing a run in Hades as a finished game. At 22 hours I'm not going for the true ending ... maybe not anyway, needs 9 more clears. Game is really good, 9/10. I think it falters in a few areas, could have been a 10. I had awful rotten luck in this game, so many runs went by where builds were terrible but I stuck with every run no matter what even if I should have sent myself back to the starts, hence the 22 hours. I'm excited for Hades 2 when I see it on sale

Edit: I m8ght actually try for the ending hades, game is too fun to leave it just yet.

I had to take a break on gta v due to vacation and continued and finished my donkey Kong bananza.

I really enjoyed that and would give it a 9/10.
The only part that I really disliked was the last bossfight which took forever.

The vacation is almost over, I hope I can finish my Mario 3D world playthrough until Saturday.

FF7:Rebirth was absolutely amazing, my only complaint is that sometimes it gets very winded in dialog and sometimes you have to do tedious stuff to advance the story, i have no problem with the amont of content, but I think they should make the main story more streamlined for those who just want to play through the story without having to do a bunch of other stuff, just my thoughts. This is hands down SQ best game since 10 imo.
