Okay. I've changed my mind, while Ghost CAN look way better than DS2 and blow the mind with beauty but it does not over half the time. It only excels in golden hour light and with landscapes and vistas and when certain effects are active and while the flowing real time painting cutscenes are cool they get old quickly and it makes the game feel indie. Also the wind effect is too strong, wind does not look like little clouds flowing across the ground. Regardless, since the game is so dynamic it looks like it lacks consistently great artistic shean.

I have to give it yo DS2, it's quality is far more consistent and even with the all the HUD and on screen info it looks better. It also has artistic shean and beautiful landscapes that are far more detailed and also some dynamic effects. It's mainly the consistency and the detail that gives 8t the win. I'm not sure even GTA6s finished product will look as food as DS2 on base PS5.

Ghost's budget is 40 million less though and they don't have Decima which seems to give the edge. KJP have been at the realistic graphics game far longer too. They are the people who brought cinematic story telling and realism to games with MGS1.

Yeah, my vote was DS2, as well. I am mostly a retro gamer, but I do play modern games when I feel like it, and DS2 is the most impressive looking console game I have ever played, easily.

Having said that, I would just like to take a moment and say how impressed I am with your ability to admit you got it wrong... in front of everyone, no less. I have been doing this message board thing for a very long time, and I can count of two hands the amount of times I've seen people admit to an error in judgment like that, and it needs praised. We need more humanity online, not less. So hats off, my friend.

Lol. I suppose that is rare.

Its really hard to say. Both looks fantastic and so beautiful =)

Ghost of Yotei: The landscapes, forests, and snowy areas, wow. The love to detail is impressive.
There's so much work and hidden details in the flora and fauna in this game, I have much respect for that!!

Death Stranding 2: The in-game physics and weather effects are fantastic! And even the sequences also make my mouth water. Top design.

For just looking at a pleasing image it's Yotei hands down. If we're talking technical prowess that's a tougher question when DS2 runs almost twice as well.

How is DS2 running twice as well??

Both games run at 60fps with mot problem. That’s not mentioning their PS5 Pro modes.

Ghost is more aesthetic, Death is a bigger technical feat imo

How?

The fact GoY’s competent use of RTGI pretty much blurs the line between both, I’d say.

At the time of posting Ghost had never shown off it's RT mode but in short DS2 had better models, textures, particle effects, water, clouds etc

Iirc DS2 runs at 60fps standard across modes and consoles at a pretty high minimum resolution, while 2 of Yotei's 3 modes run at 30fps and its 60fps mode runs internally around 1080p.

Yotei, much like its predecessor, looks stunning. I usually prefer aesthetic punch and style over realism, this is one of the reasons why I loved Elden Ring's visuals so much (especially the subterranean level design).

Playing DS2 at the moment, not going to buy Yotei but the art style seems to be very much from the same cloth as Tsushima.
Both impressive in their own way and personally I can't really declare one better than the other, even though I do like photorealism.

I like Yotei's art style much more.

Interesting to hear. What's the reason for this? I think so too, but imagine if Kojima Productions were to produce the new stealth-action game for PlayStation 5. With more detail and a more beautiful world than the apocalyptic "Death Stranding 2." In terms of style and design, it could be significantly better and more spectacular than DS2.

By the way@topic: The result is interesting. Both games excel in style and game design. Ghost of Yotei is a work of art in the video game realm. I can't describe it any other way; the attention to detail and the beautiful landscapes are incredible. A true delight for fans of Japanese culture.

But Death Stranding 2 is also very impressive. Despite its stunning graphics and vast areas, there are zero loading times. The developers have done a superb job.

Overall, it really (absolutely) comes down to personal taste, I think
