He was anti War, a non politician, rich enough to not be sway by lobbying, wanted to be loved so much he'd bend over backwards for praise etc. I even kinda wanted to see him win this last election, quietly but I care much less but my God, this term I can see how fucking wrong I was. The man has turned into just another politician but a far more incompetent one and the power has gone to his head. He can't see reality anymore. Can't see the innocent people in Iran among the evil people. I have to wonder is this just a side effect of power and it changes people's brains so much that we'll never have a truly good leader in this world. It's saddening but then it gets confusing cause every now and then he does something good, like cutting red tape for radical treatment of mental illnesses. It's confusing. |
The worst leaders still do good things and they want us to focus on them. You’re probably a good person and yet certainly do bad things just as we all do. So not a binary type of thing. Perhaps we should be defined by our actions with the biggest impact.

Republicans gaining 20 seats+???
Delulu doesn't even begin to describe that statement.
Then again, the AI on Trump social actually makes a similar prediction, while all the other ones are in unison that the House is lost for the GOP. Yes, even xAI says the GOP is losing hard.

They’re even favored to lose the Senate at this point, which seemed like an outside chance at best not too long ago. James Talarico is up by fucking 8 points in fucking Texas (!) where no Dem has won in over 3 decades. If that’s not a telltale sign the Pedophile-in-Chief is doing a terrible job and people have had it up to here (again, if only somebody tried to warn them), I don’t know what is.
They’re gonna get fucking massacred in the midterms, it’s a signed-and-sealed guarantee at this point. We’re already seeing that right now, they’re losing special elections in deep red districts. A blue tsunami in 2026 is coming. And then this in 2028 would be the perfect cherry on top.

The Virginia Supreme Court voided the redistricting vote.
Meanwhile, Tennessee and South Carolina are working to eliminate their last Democratic seats, unopposed.

"The irony of this ruling is that
1. if you act democratically and ask the voters, you are punished but if you act like an authoritarian and just do it, it's fine.
2. States are independent so their laws are sacrosanct, but a president can call states and order them to change their maps and that is not election interference. If they refuse,(Indiana) the president can punish the state lawmakers that refused, and that's not election interference either.
3. Governors can violate their constitution(Florida), change the maps anyway they want, and that's fine but states can't violate their constitution (Virginia)
3.You can't change an unconditional map close to an election (Louisiana) except when you can (Louisiana) and you can't stop an election to change the map(Virginia), except when you can(Louisiana).
4. You can't change a map to discriminate against race(Louisiana), but the groups discriminated against have to prove INTENT(the entire country), except when you tell everyone watching FOX news that you are changed the map to discriminate against race(Texas). that's not proof of intent.
The moral of the story was written 200 years ago. "Never be deceived that the rich will allow you to vote away their wealth.""

Virginia could just ignore the state SC ruling like Ohio did.
Of course, then you can bet the conservative SCOTUS justices would get involved and go "nuh uh." So, more likely than not, though, they'll just wait for the elections of two new SC judges this year and ask for a review in 2027.
Meanwhile you'll have a lot of computer chips being drawn in blue states for 2028:
A perfectly stable democracy, y'all.

Is that a legit map? I know gerrymandering sucks, but that map is just crazy.

It's a possible map now that the VRA is effectively gutted. The same goes for this one if NY amends its constitution:
In practice, I'd expect them to be more elegant, but in theory, yeah, now you could see spaghetti such as the world has never seen before.
