Forums - Sales - Is Black Ops 7 - actually doing bad sales wise? or too early to tell?

Is this actually a issue?

Steam/Playstation preorde... 2 22.22%

Maybe this has a effect..... 2 22.22%

It's all overblown, and o... 5 55.56%

Total:9

So basically I happened upon a video that claimed BO7 sales are looking bad, and it went on to explain why this might be.
And before you know it, I was hit with another video, saying basically the same thing a day after.

Is there merit to this? Will it still be a colossal success regardless of what peoples opinions on the internet and early sales seem to suggest?
Will it actually have worse than normal sales? and maybe force Activision to change some of the things people are having issues with?

I just wanted to try and pole it, and hear peoples opinions here on it.

Well, it's been a bunch of years since Call of Duty trailers are getting bashed with dislikes. And yet, it doesn't seems to affect sales.

About the pre-orders... I'm still not sure. I feel like Black Ops 7 is still going to be Ok, but I'm not very good with predictions, so I prefer to just wait and see.

Nah, that stuff's just clickbait.

There was plenty of hate towards entries like Infinite Warfare, Vanguard, and MW3 2023 too, yet they still shifted millions upon millions of copies.

COD is one of those franchises where they could ship an empty disc with the name Call of Duty on it and it would still sell out.

Like most Activision Blizzard games, people hate them online, the trailers get significant dislikes. Yet, the games still sell.

Likely much less copies sold than the previous Black Ops game I believe though just as usual, it'll be the best selling game in the US this year with no contest.

Unless BF6 somehow manages to take most of that audience away but I just don't see it happening

Unlikely, people love buying the same shit over and over again; weird.

The 2 largest gripes of BO6/BO7 is the SBMM and the cartoony skins. The cartoony skins will be able to transfer over from BO6 to BO7 so that issue will not be addressed.
The other is the SBMM that youtube content creators want to get rid off so they own the noobs, instead of getting better to compete in their own skill levels.

It will sell well, but Battlefield 6 may actually offer up competition this time.

I swore I wouldn't play anymore CoD, and I recently got talked into playing some BO6. My best start ever, lol. I'm about 60 matches in with an excellent respectable KD. Usually I get owned, and end up with a negative KD. The game is so much more enjoyable when I'm doing some of the owning. My squad mates are already wanting to enter BO7, but as far as I know, none of us are preordering.

I'm trying to talk them into playing Battlefield 6. That's where my shooter itch needs scratching.

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

I wish. But no.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

BO7 will likely be fine when it comes to sale. I see it being similar to MW3. Sales down compared to the previous entry, but still a top seller. BF6 will certainly take some sales away, but nothing to deem it a failure.

Battfield wishes it can sell more then cod. Cod is fine
