I have 3 total docks (2 from Nintendo & 1 from third party). One dock is hooked to my loft TV, another in my bedroom, and the last one on my desk along with my laptop. Also playing on a couch with the mouse in your lap is very viable.

Would not using it on my lap be very unreliable? Other mice need a firm flat and often lightly colored surface to work accurately.

It has sensitivity settings and early impressions have mentioned how well they work in your lap.
The price of the games cause now I don't have to worry about how to ho about buying one.
But if I had to choose, HDR. It is such a bump yo graphics when done right. I could never notice fps over 60 and doubt I ever will. 4k is overrated and a waste of resources, 1440p would have done nicely (but I guess some TVs don't support that), I'd not use that mouse in a million years if you paid me, I'm not having carpal tunnel surgery in 5 years time for any game and Switch 1 should have been 1080p in 2017, it was a rushed and half baked console, The Switch 2 should have been what was offered or something more closely related to it than related to the Switch 1.

I've read impressions threads on Reddit from people who went to the Nintendo events and tried the Switch 2. In some of them, they said they were encouraged to try the mouse control on their pants and people said it worked well.

Hall Effect joycons and controllers
Last edited by burninmylight - on 16 April 2025I think I would also like to mention the complaints about the mouse use on joycons 2 are complaining about the ergonomics but are they holding the controller correctly? I see people trying to hold it like a traditional mouse but shouldn't we hold it like we normally would but the side of the controller pointed downward? When we use mouse on our computers, they are wide enough for our hand to be open and resting our fingers on the wider surface. The joycons are much thinner, so shouldnt we hold the joycons like we normally would (thumb on the face buttons or right stick, index finger on the shoulder buttons, and remaining fingers balled up like a fist) and just place the controller on the rails. I have been holding the current joycons like that and it doesn't feel uncomfortable. Can't wait to give the mouse controls a go in Metriod.

My setup is going to be quite simple, TV plus couch. Has ample space to use the mouse on the cushion's surface next to you.
GameCube games, because... they are games.
Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.
