Forums - Nintendo - The Donkey Kong Bananza thread: Out now exclusively on Switch 2

This game looks really fun but it looks and presents like ass, it's really off putting. It does not feel like premium Nintendo. Looking at footage of this and the same with screens compared from MKW to MK8 make me feel rather sad. That said, I have recently changed my mind on whether a game can be worth 79,99 euro and it can, DS2 just about gets there and I can see why MKW would also be so anf DKB could be worth it on pure fun factor and maybe worth the 69,99 for completionists but like Astrobot and R&C I suspect this should be a game no more than 49,99 at full price launch and that's with the platinum goal in mind. All said and done though, simulation or not this game looks horrendous, it could easily be mistaken for an indie third party Sony/Xbox game.

Your post is one of the dumbest ones that have ever been submitted on this website.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV will outsell Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I was wrong.

I never said otherwise, at least I'm good at something.

Previews are out, along with a ton of new gameplay footage:

Expecting mainline 3D Mario quality at this point. Won’t be shocked with a 95 or 96 meta

Turns out that much like both Mario Kart World and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, DK Bananza also started development as a Switch 1 game.

They moved to Switch 2 in 2021, which allowed for more extensive destructibility, more detail, and 60fps.

Makes me wonder how long it took for Nintendo to really make strides in Switch 2 development with now 3 major Switch 2 only games that originally started as Switch 1 games.

Makes me excited to see what future games Nintendo has in store for the Switch 2 that started development only on the Switch 2!

I feel a lot of people were justified in saying that early Switch 2 games look cross gen... Of course totally fine but it's disappointing there isn't yet a first party launch window game built to really showcase the graphical prowess. I'm a sucker for Nintendo demonstrating visual leaps in their IPs, it takes me back to first seeing Luigus Mansion, Metroid and Zelda on the GameCube. The power leap the Switch 2 provides can absolutely give that feeling... Once again hoping that the next Zelda is 30fps

Still think this absolutely started as Odyssey 2 probably last decade, so doesn’t surprise me one bit it started as a Switch game.
