NERD survivors. 7/10. 10 hours. Counting the platinum as the victory condition as there are no defined goals asides from unlocking everything.
The Bullet Heaven genre can seem to do no wrong even in it's weaker forms, the formula is just so strong. This is the most simplified, stripped back and least envolved of what I've played so far and yet it's still a ball off fun. It's main faults are the graphical style doesn't do well with a lot happening on screen and it's hard to see what's happening through effects, there is no synergy between weapons and stats devolve down to crit chance, crit chance and more crit chance when things get tough. Regardless, it's mighty fun and well made and a bit a bit refreshing from the massive amounts of mini tasks or grinding in the likes of Army of Ruin, 35 hours into that game and still chipping at random tasks for the platinum. It's a good contained Bullet Heaven, nothing more, nothing less. Can't go wrong for 5.99 with 10 hours of fun content.
Edit: Beat all 9 levels. I'd nearly knock a point for the 9th, it is so wildly difficult even with full permanent progression that it takes getting extremely lucky with RNG, if your 15 minutes in and crit chance and crit damage isn't still consecutively popping you have to quit and and start again cause there is no point in continuing. I found this to be a problem with all 3 of the last levels of each area but I'd know I'd able to get a crit build off the ground much sooner but the 3rd level of the 3rd area in particular was tuned massively wrong and all 3 final levels showcase the problem with the game shoving you down the crit chance and crit damage route without any room for another approach, feels pointless having the choice of unlocks at least when the difficulty spikes.
