Same as you, a sale happened here a little early, I was waiting for the PRO and my PS4 PRO to last as long as it did through heating issues but couldn't justify 890 euro on it. May I suggest you buy PS+ and snatch up Rift Apart, Demon souls, Returnals and a few others and look for the free upgrades to games you have. Some are amazing like The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk which I believe are on PS+ Extra as well. And Stellar Blade if you're into the action genre, it's the best 9th gen game I've played yet and perhaps one of the best games ever, it made it's way into my top 20 and I still haven't been able to stop playing since I beat it. 

How are you finding it besides the size? Did ya upgrade from base PS4 or PS4 PRO? I'd assume the jump from base PS4 would be more of a wow factor than from PRO. Pretty cool, right, like a PS4 PRO 2 😀 ?

Thanks, man! Yeah, I was also shocked at the PS5 Pro launch price. Reminded me of Kaz Hirai and the infamous 599 USD presentation.

I upgraded from a PS4 slim which is luckily still working as good as the day I bought it. I have it on the TV shelf next to the ps3 slim and the ps2 slim. So maybe I'm a mid-cycle customer after all You make a good point about the established catalog at the mid-cycle. Btw thanks for the game recommendations! I am also very curious about Stellar Blade but I feel like I should probably beat Nier Automata first. My backlog of shame is getting more shameful by the day.

Apart from the console's huge size, I'm finding it great. I appreciate the backwards compat, the improved UI, and the much faster loading times. Considering new game install sizes I wonder if 1TB is not too little storage. The graphics are WOW-level great. My mind cannot imagine what playing on a PS5 pro must be like.

Are you still planning on getting the PS5 PRO down the line or will you hold out until the next gen?

I'm gonna wait till PS6, the pro just seems useless right now but if it becomes nessesary down the line, gets a big price cut and 10th gen doesn't com on time I may grab it. 

Yeah, coming  from ps slim must big a huge jump. I already got the jump with PS4 PRO, games looked close enough to this with 4k. But yeah, some games exceed it, like Demon Souls and FF16 by a fair margin.

No games, but I bought a bunch of 4K movies, and a dedicated 4K Blu-ray player. Time to put my new TV and sound system to the real test! I'll be having themed movie nights during the holidays, it's become more or less a tradition now. Too bad the one movie I was the most eager to get is nowhere to be found (for a half-sane price, that is).

Then for the games I got Silent Hill 2 and Space Marine 2 to go with it. Pleasantly surprised by how great a remake SH2 is. I hope they do SH1 next.

Man each time, I'm reminded that even the Slim model isn't exactly a real slim version like they used to make ...

The digital Black Friday sales weren’t that great so for the first time in years I had to get games physical.

Mass Effect Legendary (digital)
HZDR and Elden Ring SotE edition (physical)

Thankfully the 30th anniversary sale was much more friendly to my wishlist than the Black Friday sale

I've already purchased all the PS5 games I'm interested in, so I'm building up the PS4 games that I would like. Already purchased Wipeout: Omega Collection previously, so I was able to pick up Gravity Rush 2, Shadow of the Colossus, and Tearaway: Unfolded for cheap. Loved the hell out of Tearaway on the Vita, so can't wait to see how the remake is!

I got a PS VR2 and the PC adapter with it. I don't even have a PS5, but it seemed like the best somewhat affordable option that isn't from Meta or Bytedance. I also got Half-Life: Alyx, with more VR games to possibly come during the next sale.

Spent $45 for Hitman: World of Assassination: Deluxe Edition. Here's hoping there's gonna be a future Putin mission, as well as a Lukashenko one. Ahh, one can only hope. LOL.

No offense man, but all that is worth playing there is Hogwarts and Roft apart. You should have a PS5 with Extra and you'd have access to some of these games but a good deal more that are more worth it. Btw, nice pricing on the PC, for a prebuilt with a 3070. Good deal.
