Hades 2

Masterpiece of a game and I completed it for 100%(achievements) and even went so far to unlock, upgrade and buy everything that you can in the game.

It turned me into a fan of Greece gods, I did runs while watching 'blood of zeus' on netflix,  I bought the Stephen Fry books, got the homer books.

Watched John solo on youtube who explains the messed up stories of gods/titans etc

Bought also a metal plate to hang on my door

Also made a custom tote bag with this on it

(the one on the right)

Anyway a 5/10 game

@LegitHyperbole I’m gonna spin the question around on you for a sec— What games have YOU been playing recently? Anything fun? Lay it on me. I did a playthrough of Braid and The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog this past weekend. Short-and-sweet little time wasters. Really had fun with em.

Thought I posted earlier on this thread, turns out it was the wrong thread. I found two games I actually enjoy, I'll copy/paste my comment from earlier today.

"Vampire Crawlers and Ball X pit. I was thinking I'd like Ball X Pit more but turns out Vampire Survivor devs are just extremely talented at what they do, it's a dungeon crawling card game and it is pure dopamine. It's probably not going to last gor half as long and is double the price of VS and it's probably gonna get old sooner but it's a joy."

Ball X Pit is good but it's more of a one run and done type deal. It requires you to beat levels with two different characters and this takes out what could be something that's very addictive along with some slightly poor progression choices.

Cool! Yeah I've heard good things about both those games. I'm not too keen on roguelites/roguelikes unfortunately so can't say I'll be trying these games out anytime soon. Balatro another good one I've heard, though I'm quite confident you've already given this game a spin lol. There's also Binding of Isaac.

Dust off the Wii for this

Fuck, Treasure was absolutely one of the best developers ever. Also one of the best Nintendo IP's in existence. IMO best game in it's sub genre as well of Space Harrier like games.

Found myself getting back into Avowed. No idea if I’ll see it through to the end but man I love Obsidian RPGs.

Vampire Survivors and Campire Crawlers are nothing like rougelike or rouglites. They have the elements but they have surely crossed into a new genre from the ones they take from. Ball X pit feels similar in this but it still feels rougelite. Honestly, don't hold back on Vampire Survivors cause you don't like rouglike/lites cause I never finish a rouglike/lite, I play til I get bored and always do, esspecially skill based stuff but these games are packed with constant progression. Vampire Survivors, whatever genre it had created, is easily one of the best genres there is. I'm not being hyperbolic, it'll not feel like anything you've played before. VS inverts bullet hell games, breaks all the rules and barely requires you to play the game but ends up being something that feels entirely fresh. There is a reason these games exploded after VS, cause they are easy to make, devs can charge little and it's really difficult to make a bad one of them but mostly cause they are so dopamine heavy that they WILL sell no matter what, someone coming off of Vampire Survivors is like a drug addict looking for a fix.

I implore everyone to try Vampire Crawlers. Vampire Survivors first of course if you haven't already. The studio that does these games understand exactly what to do to get dopamine to flood your brain. I am severely depressed to the point that I have to force myself out of bed let alone do anything else so if I find this fun, a healthy person wouldn't have a chance at putting this game down. It's so simple but it still requires just enough of you to feel engaged and the longer you play the better you feel, my heads so much calmer after a session. I think and hope this is the one title that gets me back into gaming and being better for it 🤞

So I pushed Vampire Survivors with a fresh triphy list for ps5's version to give a new playthrough a good reason and Halls of Torment end game grinding into these two new games I've been playing so a rotation looks like this...

Vampire Crawlers
Ball X pit
Vampire Survivors
Halls of Torment

My God in heaven is this the easiest but massively the highest rewarding gaming ever. It's quite litterally digital cracking cocaine, sure I bet crack addicts don't even get this much chemicals cascading through the head.

Yeah VS is a great time waster. Haven’t played it in quite awhile tho. Mixtape launches today, been looking forward to that one for awhile.
